#StandardsGoals for 2024: What’s new for BISAC - Tech Forum 2024
Geo-ITS
1.
2. Geo-ITS provides a service platform for the development of Geo-Spatial Context-Aware ITS applications.
Geo-ITS validates and filters [real-time] data and transforms it to a single unambiguous representation (Geo-ITS domain-
model).
Geo-ITS enables processing the data in real-time through freely definable Business Rules. Depending on the result, Geo-ITS
uses [web-] services to inform people, organisations or other systems (M2M),
Geo-ITS can visualize the harmonized internal model through “web” application [s]
Geo-ITS enables external – off-line –processing through its extensive export functionality
Geo-ITS provides a platform for on-line analysis and reporting through its scientific computing module
Geo-ITS can be integrated with existing systems through its rich set of web-services
Geo-ITS is build with the ITS-future in mind; it uses modern open-standards and state-of-the-art technology !
4. DMS is based on the recommendations for the “Interoperable Delivery of European eGovernment Services to public
Administrations, Businesses and Citizens” (IDABC)
DMS is based on open standards and is released under Apache Software License 2.0.
The DMS entities are based on international standards related toTraffic- and Incident Management.
DMS uses the de-facto JPA-standard; an industry standard object relational mapper API for storage of objects
DMS is fully optimized for the PostgreSQL open-source object-relational database system.
All DMS services are fully accessible to all internal and custom modules.
The DMS is developed to be used in a Java EE7 compatible run-time environment and is optimized for the open-source
Glassfish-4.1 application server.
The software can be easily adapted for specific national and/or regional requirements and includes the automatic (Maven)
build configuration
The DMS software package includes basic database creation scripts and configuration data
5. DSM is an optional open-source software module for the Geo-ITS eco-system and is released
under the GITS dual licensing business model.
DSM uses an efficient object oriented pattern matching algorithm for its real-time data
processing.
The DSM “rule-engine” is triggered for each entity update or can be triggered on a regular basis
through the Smart Job module.
The results of every matching operation can be used to trigger new rules or to create messaging
jobs to inform people or other systems (automatic data exchange)
The DSM rules can be dynamically created and are stored in the central Geo-ITS storage.
6. DSJ is based on open standards and is released under ApacheSoftware License 2.0
DSJ enables the the execution of event-driven or calendar-based jobs
AJobs consists of simple or complex tasks which are run independently from the core GITS-DMS
functionality
Different pre-defined job are available, for instance for sending personal messages or executing exports or
creating daily reports
DSJ makes heavily use of the new EE7 Concurrency and Batch functionality

7. GITS-microservices are based on open standards and are released under under Apache Software License 2.0
Dedicated microservices are used to collect data from external datafeeds.
A single microservice is used for one or many datafeeds from a specific source.
MS-NDW is a microservice to read datafeeds from the Nationale Databank Wegverkeergegevens
MS-KNMI is used to read weather related datafeeds Different pre-defined job are available, for instance for sending personal
messages or executing exports or creating daily reports
Microservices makes extensive use of the new EE7 Concurrency and Batch functionality

8. SPATIAL is an optional open-source software module for the Geo-ITS eco-system and is released under the GITS dual
licensing business model.
SPATIAL is fully optimized for the PostgreSQL open-source object-relational database system.
SPATIAL uses the PostGIS spatial extensions which implement de OGCSimple Feature Specification
All SPATIAL services are fully accessible to all internal and custom modules.
The SPATIAL module is developed to be used in a Java EE7 compatible run-time environment and is optimized for the open-
source Glassfish-4.1 application server.
9. COP is an optional open-source software module for
the Geo-ITS eco-system and is released under the
GITS dual licensing business model.
COP uses a GWT based presentation component
which provides desktop-like single-screen
applications ,
.. and map-based views which enables the user to
experience data “in its geographical context”
COP is based on the open-source GeoServer for
sharing of geo-spatial data

10. DAM is an optional open-source software module for the Geo-ITS eco-system and is released under
the GITS dual licensing business model.
DAM uses the powerful R-language; the de-facto standard for statistical computing and graphics
DAM has full on-line access to all available DMS entities
DAM enables the creation of reports in various formats which can be distributed via eMail through
the DSJ-module
DAM is a stand-alone system and is accessed through a powerful yet simple web-service interface

11. REP is an optional open-source software module for the Geo-ITS eco-system and is released
under the GITS dual licensing business model.
REP enables users to export data in various formats for specific intervals and/ or datatypes
REP has full access to all available DMS entities
REP can provide exports on a regular basis and send it users through email
REP can be accessed through a powerful yet simple web-service interface

12. CTL is an optional open-source software module for the Geo-ITS eco-system and is released
under the GITS dual licensing business model.
CTL enables users to control external ITS systems and/or exchange data with external
information services
CTL uses open standards such as DVM-Exchange or DATEX-II
CTL has full access to all available GITS-services
CTL can be accessed through a powerful yet simple web-service interface
