April 2016- I was invited by Glenaire Retirement Community to come speak about the work of GDI-RDU and how we impact the community. They also wanted it to tie in with the movie "Girl Rising" about education for girls around the world.

3. What is Girl Develop It?
We are a non-profit that teaches
women computer programming.

4. Impact
We have over 1,900 members locally
and we continue to grow every day!

5. You can find chapters in 53 cities
across the United States!

6. What do we offer?
We offer lots of introductory courses on
HTML/CSS, Javascript, Python, etc.
In addition, we have intermediate courses
such as jQuery and AngularJS.

we offer?
One of our most
popular events is
“Coffee and Code.”

We also offer sessions on writing conference
proposals and salary negotiation to help
women with their careers.

We could not do it without the
