Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is a week-long series of events held each November to promote entrepreneurship in Palm Beach County. Over the past two years, GEW has helped foster entrepreneurship, inspire young people, and promote economic development. The 2016 GEW will continue this work through various events that educate, connect, and showcase local entrepreneurial talent. Support from sponsors will help build infrastructure and resources to support entrepreneurs and attract talented people to the area.

Beach, the Business Development Board and the Enterprise Development

3. Global Entrepreneurship Week
Global Entrepreneurship Week is the world’s largest campaign to promote entrepreneurship.
Each year, it plays a critical role in encouraging the next generation of entrepreneurs to
consider starting their own business. Every November, GEW inspires people through local,
national and global activities organized to help them explore their potential as self starters and
innovators. These activities, from large scale business plan competitions and hackathons to
intimate networking events, serve to educate, connect and showcase entrepreneurial talent.

BY THE NUMBERS
Over 1,000 people have participated in Global
Entrepreneurship Week in Palm Beach County. New
connections have not only encouraged entrepreneurial
thinking but also catalyzed new jobs.

Through extensive coverage online, in print and on TV,
Global Entrepreneurship week has earned over $250K worth
of media that has helped spread awareness.
