To whom it may concern,
Georgina Liggins was part of our marketing team for four weeks from Monday 11 July 2016. From
day one, Georgina was keen to get involved in an array of tasks and her enthusiasm and reliability
shone through. Georgina’s knowledge of event cinema and film was impressive and allowed her to
settle in to the team very quickly, she also demonstrated her intuitiveness throughout the internship
as she regularly moved from one task to the next without having to be told as well as returning to
ongoing projects if the team were unavailable.
One of the main areas Georgina looked after was cinema relations. We were able to give her the
responsibility of liaising with cinemas on marketing queries. If a cinema had a marketing query,
Georgina was able to advise them. She would speak with the cinemas via email and over the phone.
She was also able to help with some of the administrative tasks such as allocating and posting
merchandise to cinemas. She was able to do this without making any errors and was comfortable
asking people questions and for advice on the best ways to post items to cinemas.
Georgina demonstrated that she was an adept researcher when she was asked to both research
target groups across the UK who we would look to liaise with for the premiere of “The Fall”, and in
creating and compiling the campaign report for “Marguerite”. For the campaign report she had to
research all of the marketing strategies used across social media and cinema groups as well as
amassing all of the media coverage for the film and arranging this information in a presentable
format so that we could send it to our clients.
We have a front facing website and an FTP website and Georgina was trained in how to use the
backend of these websites so she could do website updates. She made updates such as creating a
new film page and uploading marketing assets into the FTP for the cinemas and she also published a
blog post on our front facing website about our new film release, “Swiss Army Man”. Georgina also
created a number of marketing assets on Adobe Photoshop for our summer release, “Wiener-Dog”.
All of the team found Georgina a pleasure to be around and she was able to complete all tasks to a
very high standard. She is very personable and clearly keen to learn as much as possible. I can
certainly recommend Georgina as a hard-working, trustworthy and friendly person who will excel in
whatever job she moves into.
Yours sincerely,
