George Orwell was a British author born in India in 1903 who wrote famous dystopian novels such as 1984 and Animal Farm. He was born in Motihari, India and died in a hospital in London in 1950, having also lived and written in locations such as Jura, London, and Paris. Some of his major works included 1984, Politics and the English Language, Why I Write, Homage to Catalonia, and Animal Farm.
