Charles Dickens was an English writer born in 1812 in Landport, Hampshire, England. He wrote several famous novels including A Christmas Carol, The Old Curiosity Shop, and Little Dorrit. Dickens died at the age of 58 in 1870 in Higham, Kent, England.
