William Shakespeare was an English playwright, poet, and actor born in 1564 in Stratford-upon-Avon, England. He wrote many famous plays including Hamlet, Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, and Julius Caesar. Shakespeare lived in Stratford-upon-Avon and died there in 1616, most famous for writing the play Hamlet.
