George Mueller (1805-1898) was a Christian evangelist and director of the Ashley Down orphanage in Bristol, England. As a child, he was mischievous and got into trouble, but found Christianity after university through a friend. He started an orphan ministry with only 50 cents but through prayer alone, God provided for thousands of orphans over many decades, answering over 50,000 of Mueller's specific prayer requests. Mueller kept detailed diaries of his prayers and how God provided, establishing him as a man of profound faith and example of God's faithfulness through prayer.
