This two-day workshop aimed to bring together UK academics and industry professionals working on geomechanical aspects of carbon capture and storage (CCS), including wellbore integrity, reservoir geomechanics, and seal integrity. The workshop sought to integrate different approaches such as laboratory experiments, geomechanical modeling, and field trials. Early career researchers and established researchers were both invited to give talks and posters. The workshop was held on September 6-7, 2012 at the University of Liverpool and included a dinner on the 6th.
