2. Comedy
Comedy films are done in various
styles, you have a rom-com, comedy
horror or a classic comedy. The
censorship is normally a 12/ 12A as it
helps attract a wider audience than
an 18, also 12 year olds with get
some of the humor. There is a lot of
bad language, sexual references and
adult humor depending on the film.
It is usually high key lighting to show
the reference to the humor and
relates to real life atmosphere.
Rom-com; is a romance film
with elements of comedy,
there tends top be a loveable
character who falls in love but
doesn't’t know how to love or
encounters humors situations
e.g. just go with it, friends
with benefits, run fat boy run,
ect.
Comedy horrors; is a horror film but
with comedy, they tend to be
parody's of classic horror films.
3. Romance
Romance films all have a similar story
line but with different twits, they're all
tales of true love, whether the twist is
one dies and they have to try move on
(P.S I love you), a tragic incident has
drive them miles away from each other
and have to find a way to cope ( dear
john), something's preventing them
from being together ( Fault in our stars)
however, in all the endings love always
wins or something will happen and it
will become a sad story line which
makes people cry. Tends to be a 12/12A
as they contain sexual references. Also
all feature really good looking men for
the women, appeals to a bigger
audience.
4. Animation
Many animation films are aimed at
children, often contain lovable characters
from fairy tales.
These films contain a similar cast:
- Princess
- Hero
- Evil queen/ evil person or animal
depending on the film
- A single parent or no parents
All animation films are rated U or PG this
is because they are suitable for the whole
family as the stories are simple for
children but can contain adult humor too
which children wouldn't’t get.
5. Horror
Horror films contain lots of violence, strong
language, gory and some sexual language
therefore majority of horror films are rated
18,this is because 18 is the age people get to
do what the want and can make their own
choices on whether they want to watch the
film.
The main cast in a horror film are;
- Protective boyfriend
- Weak family
- Helpless girl
- Smart guy who knows what's happening
- Median
- The treat
All horror films have a similar story line but
with different twists, also they never contain
famous people too build suspense and make
the based on a true story feel more realist than
using well known actors.
