Group 2: Examine the present and future needs.

Group 5: Read magazines, news articles, and other publications
Key Concept of Generating Idea
Generating business ideas is the process of identifying and
developing new opportunities for creating and growing a
successful business.
It involves thinking creatively, recognizing market trends,
and addressing emerging needs.
IDENTIFYING IRRITANTS FOR BUSINESS IDEAS
Irritants are pain points or frustrations that people experience
in their lives.
Analyze common irritants in various industries or customer
segments.
Consider how to innovate and develop products or services
that effectively address these irritants.
USING TRENDS TO GENERATE BUSINESS IDEAS
Observe and analyze market trends, social changes, and
consumer behavior.
Identify emerging trends that can serve as business
opportunities.
Develop products that align with these trends to meet
evolving customer demands.
FINDING BUSINESS IDEAS IN EMERGING
NEEDS
Identify unmet needs or gaps in the market.
Conduct market research to understand customer preferences
and demands.

Activity: Brainstorming Business Ideas
Instructions:
1. Divide the class into five groups.
2. Instruct each group to brainstorm business ideas that utilize their personal
attributes using product innovation, irritants, trends and emerging needs.
3. Encourage them to think creatively and consider different industries or markets.
4. After brainstorming, each group presents their top three business ideas to the
class.
5. Using the business idea generated above choose one and create a SWOT
(Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis of their own business
ideas. They should identify their strengths and weaknesses in relation to the food
processing industry, as well as the opportunities and threats they may encounter.
