• Mahesh Dattani is a Bangalore based dramatist,
writer, actor and director.
• He is the first English language playwright who
has the honour of winning Sahitya Akademi
award for Final Solutions and Other Plays in the
year 1998.
• He wrote plays as Final Solutions, Dance Like a
Man, The Big Fat City, Bravely Fought the Queen
etc.

• Through his plays, he throws light on the lives of
marginalised sections of society. He tries to
aware and sensitise mainstream people about
their problems.

such as plight of women and transgender,
