GEE-LIVING IN THE IT ERA
GROUP NO. 5 BIT 2C NIGHT COMPUTER
GROUP MEMBERS:
DANIEL, JUSTIN LABORTE, JOHN LOYD
CANLAS, STEPHANIE JOY JUMAMIL, JOPHIL
GUNGOB IRISH PEUBLA, KHRISTEL
Instruction: In your group, design a new invention and complete the
following worksheet. This activity will be presented on September 29,
2022 via google meet.
Creativity is a must! Do not create an invention that already exists.
A. Brainstorming
One of the best ways to collect ideas for developing an innovation or
invention is to take a survey and do some research. Use the questions
below to generate some ideas for a new invention in your group.
1. Think of simple products, machines, or devices in your life. Make a
list of everyday inventions that make life more convenient or
better than it was in the past.
(Example: screw-top bottles, remote controls, portable battery for cell
phone, etc.)
1. RECHARGEABLE FLASHLIGHT
2. BOTTLE HUMIDIFIER
3. UNDERWATER CAMERA
4. WATERPROOF WALLET
5. SOLAR LIGHTS
6. WIFI
7. WATER STERILIZER FOR FOOD
8. SOLAR PANEL
2. Think about your life at home, work, school, etc. What are some
problems you would like to solve?
• School: Lockers
• Home: (folding machine) for folding the clothes easier
• Work: Attendance system application
3. Now, brainstorm a list of possible new inventions with your group. List
all ideas and make notes about what they do.
1.HEART MONITORING DEVICE
2.BIODEGRADABLE COOLERS
3. BRAIN CHIPS
4. FINGER METER
5. EXTENSIBLE SOCKET EXTENSIONS
6. PLASTIC-FREE, EDIBLE FLIGHT MEAL TRAYS
7. SOLAR POWERED LAPTOP BACKPACK
8. A PRINTER THAT DOESN'T NEED INK
9. SNOOZE BUTTON FOR KIDS
10. A WASHING FOLDING MACHINE
11. DRIP CATCHER COFFEE MUG
12. DISINFECTING TOWEL DRYER
B. Developing your Invention
As a group, choose one of the inventions from the list above. Draw a picture of your invention!
1. What did you decide to invent? What would name your invention?
Our invention is a Solar Powered Backpack that that can charge a laptop
inside it. We call it a Solar Powered Laptop Backpack.
2. What does your invention do? What is the problem you hope to solve
with your invention? (Ex: We hope to solve the problem of/with…)
Solar Powered Laptop Backpack is for charging a laptop while you are
outdoors and don't have access to electricity to connect and charge it. The
backpack is powered by sunlight. While the laptop is inside the backpack,
it's always charging. Laptop users main problem is where and how to
charge their laptops if the battery is running out. In regards to the said
problem, we hope to find solution that addresses the shortage of laptop
energy.
3. How does your invention make life better or more convenient?
It makes our work more convenient in a way that it stores energy
from its solar powered backpack. It can also be carried anywhere
you want and in a compatible way of use.
4. Who would use this product?
Students, Teacher, Workers, Photographer
5. What descriptive words would you use to describe this product?
Write 3 below.
• Eco friendly device
• Easy charging
• Reduce Electricity Bills
