4. Water consumption: Question #15
Water consumption refers to the industrial
uses of water in your facility, such as
washing of products, cooling, etc. Select
“yes” to display water consumption data.
The EFA measures: 1) total water used
at your facility, 2) total water recycled
at your facility, and 3) total water
discharged by your facility from
January 1 through December 31, 2011.
Please indicate the volume of each.
5. Water efficiency: Question #16
Water efficiency projects are investments
made in your organization’s facilities that
result in reduced water consumption or
wastewater generation, or a less water-
intensive production process.
Select any projects that you have
implemented at your facility.
6. Water efficiency: Question #16
Please include the details of
your water efficiency project
by selecting “yes.”
Enter the details of your efficiency
project here, including project name,
date, cost, savings, and details.
Click “add a project” to add
details about more than one
project.
7. Water reduction targets: Question #17
A water reduction target is a goal set by
an organization to reduce its water
consumption or wastewater generation.
Select “yes” here to provide details.
If you have established water
reduction or efficiency
targets, please provide the
details about the target(s)
including: goal, dates, and
project description.
You can always add an additional
project by clicking on the “Add a
project” button.
8. Waste generation/diversion: Question #18
Waste generation refers to the creation of
solid waste that enters a waste stream as a
result of your manufacturing processes.
Waste diversion is the process of
removing waste from the stream
destined for the landfill to be
recycled, reused, composted, or
incinerated.
9. Waste improvement: Question #19
Waste improvement projects are investments made in your
facilities that result in the creation of less waste or an increase
in the diversion rate from the waste-to-landfill stream.
Select any projects that you have implemented at your facility.
10. Waste improvement: Question #19
Please include the details of your waste
improvement project by selecting “yes.”
Enter the details of your
project here, including
project
name, date, cost, savings
, and details.
Click “add a project” to
add details about more
than one project.
11. Waste reduction targets: Question #20
A waste reduction target is a goal set by
an organization to reduce its overall
waste or improve its waste diversion
rate. Select “yes” to provide details.
If you have established waste
reduction or diversion
targets, please provide the details
about the target(s).
You can always add an additional
project by clicking on the “Add a
project” button.
