Discussion on usability are centered around logic, timing and goal completion. For a subject so focused on humans there is very little focus on the most human element, emotion. In this presentation I discuss how usability and emotion are inseparable and how you can use emotion to create more enjoyable websites.
This document summarizes a study that evaluated the post anesthesia recovery rate of 90 patients undergoing lumbar microdiscectomy surgery using the White fast tracking scoring system. The patients were randomly assigned to anesthesia maintained with propofol, sevoflurane, or isoflurane. Assessments using the scoring system were done 1, 5, and 10 minutes post-extubation. The results showed significantly faster recovery based on the scoring system for the propofol group compared to the sevoflurane and isoflurane groups 1 minute post-extubation. However, the difference in recovery rates was not significant at 5 and 10 minutes post-extubation. The study concludes that propofol anesthesia results in superior recovery as evaluated by the scoring system in the first minute following
