Fzero-X was a pivotal racing game known for its high speeds and difficulty. Though it was developed in Japan, it sold best in America, appealing more to Western audiences. While an expansion was only released in Japan, hurting worldwide sales, it helped increase sales in Japan. The game was praised for its fast-paced action outweighing its less than stellar graphics.
