We as a nation have chosen to avoid all to long the central issue of how to best dispose of oursolid waste while at the same time protect the environment and the health of the public. Onlyrecently have all levels of government in conjunction with private industry focused on this critical problem. Those trends have generated growing concerns about the utilization ofrecyclable products in consumer and industrial applications, combined with increased consumerawareness surrounding solid waste recycling, and clean energy.
Consistent with the rising public support of President Obama's clean energy initiative and theincreased demand for recycled products, Future Concepts International (FCI), hope to build andfully operating recycling processing facility in Lowndes County, Mississippi. At the facility, wepropose to recycle tires, metals, E-Waste, paper, biomass, MSW, glass, and plastics, which willimmediately resolve issues pertaining to the environment and relieve the local public, surrounding areas, and communities-at-large of growing environmental concerns.
The document proposes a state-of-the-art recycling facility called the Earth Ship Project that would recycle tires, metals, e-waste, paper, biomass, municipal solid waste, glass, and plastics. It would create 300-1200 jobs and generate millions of dollars weekly by producing products like tire derived fuel, crumb rubber, and septic tank chips to sell to manufacturers. The facility would be a 100,000 square foot plant near a railway and interstate that would process recyclables in two phases and transform the local community.
A new batch of companies is pursuing advanced technologies to extract recycled rubber or carbon black from scrap tires on a commercial scale. Previous attempts at tire recycling plants using devulcanization or other technologies often failed to materialize. The most advanced current approach uses cryogenic milling to produce micronized rubber powder from tires, which can be incorporated at up to 40% in new rubber products. Other approaches focus on recovering carbon black through catalytic pyrolysis. Companies pursuing devulcanization or carbon black recovery argue their approaches can capture more value from scrap tires than current methods like incineration or use in playground surfaces. However, fully reversing vulcanization or applying these technologies at large commercial scale remains challenging.
The Scrap Tire Situation After 30 Years: Where Is The Industry Today?Shayna Blumenthal
The document summarizes the history and current state of the scrap tire industry over the past 30 years from 1985 to 2015. It discusses how in the early years, there were large stockpiles of tires and few end markets. Regulations and markets developed through the 1990s. Today, over 90% of scrap tires are used in end markets, though some regions lack demand. Current issues include plateauing markets, environmental concerns about ground rubber, and fewer state agencies actively involved in scrap tire programs.
U.S. scrap tire recycling rebounded in 2013, with the tire-derived fuel sector returning to form but the recycling-related markets not faring as well. Michael Blumenthal talks about the regrowth of those markets.
The ASTM Standards for Scrap Tire-Derived MaterialsShayna Blumenthal
The document discusses ASTM standards for scrap tire-derived materials. It provides an overview of several ASTM standards including those for ground rubber, tire-derived fuel, asphalt rubber, tire-derived aggregate, loose fill playground rubber, and rubber infill. The standards help legitimize the scrap tire industry by providing consistent terminology, testing procedures, and material specifications. While not perfect, the ASTM standards overall provide a positive framework for the industry. Similar CEN standards also exist in Europe.
Michael Blumenthal is an internationally recognized expert in scrap tire management with over 30 years of experience. He has led national programs that achieved a 90% reduction in scrap tires going to landfills. Through developing end markets, legislation, and standards, he implemented strategies to increase recycling and proper disposal of scrap tires. He has organized over 100 conferences and workshops, published over 120 articles, and given 365 public presentations on tire recycling issues.
Michael Blumenthal, President of Marshay, Inc., will be a co-keynote speaker at the inaugural New Zealand Tyre Industry Summit on June 2nd and 3rd in Auckland, New Zealand. He will participate in panels on global scrap tire legislation and regulations, lessons from other countries' end-of-life tire management programs, and harmonizing rubber recycling standards. The conference will provide an opportunity to discuss developing effective scrap tire management schemes tailored for New Zealand's environment.

France established colonial outposts in North America starting in 1605 with Port Royal in Acadia (now Nova Scotia), which grew into a loose alliance of Natives and French. From 1600 onward, France also established trading posts in India and the Far East, though these territories were later lost to British colonization. After World War 2 and France's financial troubles, its remaining empire fell apart as national liberation movements emerged, making it difficult for France to reassert control over lands lost during the war.

Manufacturing of Truck Mud Flaps. Best Investment in Automobile Industry. Opportunities for Entrepreneurs to Start Own Business.
A mud flap or mud guard is used in combination with the vehicle fender to protect the vehicle, passengers, other vehicles, and pedestrians from mud and other flying debris thrown into the air by the rotating tire. A mud flap is typically made from a flexible material such as rubber that is not easily damaged by contact with flying debris, the tire, or the road surface. A flap that hangs down behind a vehicle's wheel so that mud and other things kicked up by the wheel will hit the flap instead of a vehicle behind.

To develop this industry a hand holding support is required from state government and
other support organisations.
Over a period of time, development of cluster related to some products like micro
cellular sheets, rubber mats, rubber bands, black moulded rubber products, may be
thought of, based on actual experiences certain product or product categories having
distinct comparative advantages over competitors may be chosen and developing
clusters may planned followed by forward and backward linkages hence increasing the
pace of economic development in the region.

4. US alone generates 75% of the scrap tires generated in the world. Example City 1 Example City 2 The population of state Z is 4,447,100 and would be inclusive of the metro area (regional dynamic generation of 7.5 million tires) for planning purposes. There are two class one processors in the state,(capable of size reduction and capability to produce a marketable crumb product. These are the competitive processing entities that we would have to share the market initially giving FCI a potential of 1.5 million (pte's) with a potential tipping revenue of $3.0 million @ $2.00 per tire. State Z is a very unique opportunity in that it is one of the few remaining states until recently (2004)that still allowed tires to be placed in landfills. What does this mean? Landfills around the state have been acting as depositories for many years. This being the case in the past ten years alone, taking into account that 50% were properly recycled 20 million tires or more remain in these landfills. If we use a radius of operation of 150 - 200 miles surrounding City 1 we virtually cover the entire state. This area is inclusive of nearby metro areas (pop.111,000) and the outer edges of the nearby state ( pop. 2,144,000) to the West. The population of state X is 4,410,796. We will use a dynamic regional population of 5.5 million tires generated for planning purposes. There are currently five registered and permitted scrap tire processors in the state, FCI will be the sixth when it enters the market. There will be two companies that will be the core competition. The other three are small operations. Our market share would be 916,000 tires which will generate $1.83 million with a tipping fee assessed at $2.00 per tire.
5. Potential Markets not recognized More . . . In addition to the market niche for front side profits as illustrated above there will be opportunities to provide our unique services to other government and business entities. As you probably observe daily demolished scrap tires and rubber found on any inter-state Anytown, U. S. A. Dot's (Dept. of Transportation) have to remove and properly dispose the scraped tires, normally at a rate of $100.00 to $ 200.00 per ton to most recycling tire facilities. Tire Industry Data – Lowndes County and the State of Mississippi The population of Mississippi is 3.0 million people. 4.2 million tires were reported as being generated in the state. The dynamic population for the area is 9.78 million (PTE- passenger tire equivalent) which is the figure that officials reported for tires collected within the state for the period 2007-2008. The county borders on the Alabama line, which accounts for the additional influx of tires from metropolitan areas. For the calendar year, 2007 there were six (6) processors in the state: 3 processors recycled tires into valued added products accounting for 79% of the tires reported collected. Two land filled operators reported approximately 460,000 (PTE’s) as being processed for landfills or 12%. The remaining processors collected and transported remaining 9% to out-of-state facilities as per the annual report for the Scrap Tire Management Program. One plant in South Mississippi closed due to Katrina and remains closed as of this date. FCI would have a potential market share of approximately 2.4 million tires, which is 25% of the market with the remaining active processors and would have a 4.8 million dollar base profit with a $2.00 per tire assessment for the tire generators in the area. The state of Alabama’s border proximity to the state of Mississippi in regards to the landfilling of tires up through the year of 2004 also presents multiple opportunities for substantial revenues with undetermined amounts as of this report.
7. Our Plant INTRODUCTION Consistent with the rising public support of President Obama’s clean energy initiative and the increased demand for recycled products, Future Concepts International (FCI), hope to build and fully operate a state-of- the art, high tech recycling processing facility in Lowndes County, Mississippi. At the facility, we propose to recycle tires, metals, E-Waste, paper, biomass, MSW, glass, and plastics, which will immediately resolve issues pertaining to the environment and relieve the local public, surrounding areas, and communities-at-large of growing environmental concerns. Our facility will generate between 300 – 1,000 new good paying jobs with amazing family benefits. Our mission is not only to clean-up the environment and make lots of money, but we will also offer strong community outreach programs, designed to positively transform the entire community! We are Future Concepts International (FCI)– designed to transform current environments to ensure healthier lifestyles and sustaining communities! T Typical Sized Facility: 50,000 Sq. Ft. 16. Assumptions Capacity Primary shredding system has the capacity to process 4000 tires per hour into a finished 2" rubber chip (equates to 40 tons per hour) accounting for down time, shift transition, and preparation we will assume a 6 hour realistic production run period. Assumption 1 Revenues Realistically attainable equation: 40 tons/hrs. x 6 hrs. shift = 240 tons/shift x 3 shifts per day = 720 tons/day x 21 days =15,120 tons/mo. @ $20.00 /ton (low side) $302,400.00 or $30.00/ton (high side) $453.600.00. Equipment and systems are in place to process 15,120 tons of chips into granulated crumb rubber and calculate 15,120 tons minus 3024 tons (approximately 20% residual by- products, steel, and fiber which are marketable) equals 12,096 tons of quality crumb means average price of .30 /lb equals (conversion of 12,096 tons into pounds times 2000 . . . 24,192,000 lbs) $7,257,600.00 per month or $87,091,200.00 per year.
18. Our Operations Operations A Self-Contained Clean Energy Facility Plant would literally be self-contained Will use materials deposited at the facility to operate the facility For Example: Hot Water Electricity Hot water for the plant would be provided by recycled hot water tanks (hundreds) connected together in a serial fashion all painted black (heat absorbing black bodies) exposed to the radiant heat of the sun built in the structure of the angled roof to capture the energy. The hot water would be stored in underground tanks buried beneath facility-- Two 500,000 gallon tanks (recycled), one million gallons of stored energy to be used in the heating and cooling processes of the plant. Technology utilizing the thermodynamic principles of entropy (change in temperature) to create and augment the electrical demands of the plant Electricity generated with solar cell and panels built into the roof structure will capture and convert sunlight into electrical energy and stored in voltaic cells for later use. The facility would be orientated with its face to the southeast to capture the greatest amount of sunlight during the daylight hours and would have solar mirrors installed that follow the sun to maximize the sun availability throughout the day.

20. Bio-diesel will fuel in- house generators to augment the electrical demand of the facility.
21. Fuel composition will include green plants, switch grass, milkweeds, dandelions, and sunflowers. Millions of acreage are available and would create a giant environmental footprint for this section of the country.
22. Imagine the grass clippings and above mentioned plants being delivered to the facility generating bio-fuel emerging from our operations right here in Lowdes County Mississippi!
23. FCI will utilize the latest technology to implement a process system, an original name appropriately given – the DTS (Dynamic Thermal Sublimation).
24. This process bio-mass (tires included) and any carbon base waste, i.e. wood, paper, grasses into gases and fuels capable of running the generators and plant systems.
