Initially,whenthe wire rodenters,thisdeviatingpipe isincobble mode oralignedwiththe cobble
shear infrontendcuttingposition.Further,whenawire rodof length500 mm (frontend) passes
throughthe shear,the deviatingpipeismovedtowardsthe passline andismade toalignwithwire
rod block.Andremaininthe same positionthroughoutthe rollingtill the tail issensedbythe HMD
before shearandagainthe deviatingpipegoesintothe cobble mode.
Meanwhile, the continuously running“cobble shear” cutsthe frontendof the wire rod intonumber
of small pieceswhichgetscollectedinthe “cobble collectingdrum” placedafterthe cobble shear.
The wire rod, whichisrunningthroughthe passline towardsthe “wire rod block”,viaa guide pipe,
entersintothe “horizontal looper” and“snapshear,” through whichthe rodpassesstraightand
entersintothe firststandof the wire rodblock.
The snap shearis placedinbetweenthe looper andthe firststandof the wire rod block whichcuts
the wire rod if there isany cobble in the blockor afterit anddiscontinuesthe materialflow. Asthe
snap shearacts, the deviatingpipecomesintocobble mode,guidingthe wire rodtothe cobble
shear. The snapshearis inter-lockedwiththe deviatingpipe andWire rodblock.
As the rod entersthe firststand of the block and since the blockmotor ison load,the command
actuatesthe loopformingarm of the looper,thusmakingthe wire rodtoform a loop.A loop
scannerplacedabove the looper, controls the looptobe in a specifiedrange.
The Wire rod passesthroughthe blockandthe and then entersintothe “TMTQuinchingline”,after
whichitentersintothe Contentious sharerandfinalytothe coolingbed
