(1) The opening ceremony for GameJam2015 kicks off a 30-hour game development event focused on rebuilding areas affected by disasters through nurturing IT skills. (2) Participants will work in teams to design, develop, and present playable game prototypes that explore using IT to support reconstruction efforts and create opportunities for learning skills needed in the future. (3) The event aims to incorporate an concept of broader IT clusters in the affected regions and is supported by companies across the game industry.

/Concept
(1)We visit the affected area, and send out the message that the area is indeed vigorous.
(2)We aim to support the reconstruction of the area by nurturing the human resource in
IT field, which is free from harmful rumors, providing the children and the young with
opportunities to learn the skills they’ll need in the future.
(3)We also aim to incorporate “Tohoku IT Concept” which explore the possibility of IT
cluster in broader area.
