This document announces an event hosted by TechFluence called "FTF On Tour | FinTech meets Telecom" that will bring together FinTech startups, telecom companies, and financial institutions. The event will be held on March 23rd, 2017 in Frankfurt and will feature presentations from 15 selected FinTech startups in the space of telecom and mobile-driven financial services. It will include panel discussions on topics like the potential opportunities from the intersection of FinTech and telecom as well as challenges and regulations. The goal is to help assess and act on emerging opportunities in this space. An agenda and registration details are provided.

Telecom- and mobile-driven financial services for the “unbanked” are fast becoming the norm
in emerging markets, but have yet to see scale in Europe.
However, we see several factors coming together with the potential to change the game:
- the rise of young and mobile millennials as well as a tech-savvy older generation
in Western Europe
- a young, “underbanked” Central & Eastern Europe
- a slew of recent deals (see figure above) and
- the EU Payment Services Directive 2 (PSD2) legislation coming into effect by January 2018.

2. FTF On Tour | FinTech meets Telecom (draft agenda below), an invitation-only initiative run in
collaboration with sector experts, is the first to bring together FinTech startups, telecoms and
financial institutions looking to assess and act on these emerging opportunities.
Fifteen startups with the most compelling propositions, in this space will be selected to present to an
invitation-only audience of leading investors, telecoms and financial institutions on 23rd
Mar. 2017 in
Frankfurt.
Panel discussions with financial institutions, telecoms and startups at the forefront of this space will
highlight the potential opportunities, challenges, learnings and what to expect in the next months.
