8. Why do you choose not to use profani-
ties?
“So my music can appeal to everyone
and when on radio my songs won’t cut or
changed so the meaning will stay intact.”
9. What’s your signature when it comes to
you as an artist?
“My signature, it has to be my golden micro-
phone, I saved up for it for many years while
I was getting into the grime scene, now I use
it to symbolise the richness of my music.
10. What do you think of UK grime in gener-
al?
“It’s growing quite rapidly, and it’s getting
exposure globally as it is lead by Skepta
who took the UK Grime scene over to the
USA and it has inspired thousands to create
music within the genre.”
11. If you could change your genre of music
what would it be?
“If I could change my music to anything other
than grime? It would have to be pop balled,
because it’s easy to connect, write and un-
derstand, I’ve written some in the past, how-
ever I haven’t released any to the public.”
12. If you could do a collaboration with any-
one who would it be?
“Tiny Tempah because he understands mu-
sic like no other musician and was partly the
reason I went into grime. His style of expres-
sion, I’d like him to pass onto me.”
13. How long do you plan on making music?
“Considering Dr Dre is in now in his 50’s, I’d
like to be making music for as long as he
has, I just pray I get the amount of support I
require in order for me to keep this up.”
14. Is there anything in your new album your
fans should look out for?
J
1. What is your origin?
“I’m originally from the streets of Birmingham,
I grew up with my step mother and grand
mother. I attended St Patricks Performing arts
academy until I advanced within my music
career.”
2. Who inspired you to get into music?
“2Pac A.K.A Tupac Shakur, because he was
such a motivational influence, to me he was a
word smith for hip hop music.”
3. What do you like about him?
“The way he captivated millions with his pow-
erful lyrics, he gave music a deeper meaning
in which others had yet to know”
4. Have you got a special someone?
“Right now, family is the most important thing
to me, because they have been so supportive
over these past few years with my music ca-
reer and I’d just like to give back the love they
have given me. I work so hard on my music
thought, that I don’t have time for relation-
ships right now.”
5. What challenges did you face when
first getting into the music scene?
“Exposure, it was really hard to get noticed
where I’m from as other people were trying to
do well in music, so to exceed them I had to
stand out from the crowd.”
6. What the motivates you when creating
music?
“Seeing the reaction people give when they
are listening to my music, it makes me feel
like I’ve done something right and gives me
the motivation to create more music.”
7. How old where you when you made
your first song?
“Back when I was in year 7 I wrote a song to
impress a girl that I liked, she liked the song…
But she didn’t like me.”
