 The success stories: 
 I’ve learnt about what it means to take higher education, and 
thought about my role as a student 
 The activities were great, because they made me think 
 I’ve learnt more about how to find, use and cite sources in 
academic writing, which is very useful since I’m just about to 
write two term papers. 
 I liked the part about library search best, because I knew 
absolutely nothing about it. Didn’t know it was this easy!

 Mind the gap: 
 When I went to high school 3 years ago we 
just pasted the link to the source we’d used 
at the back of the document and that’s it. 
That doesn’t work here, so I’m pleased we get 
this course. So much are stricter and more 
different at university. I can’t be the only one 
who feels like this 
 More about making the transition from high 
school to university (or from work to 
university) as smooth as possible.These are 
two very different worlds.

 Improvements needed: 
 Too long. Too boring. Bring in more videos. 
 More examples, please. Especially about academic writing. I 
have no clue about referencing, style, all the details etc. 
 Some questions were too easy 
 Fix the technical hiccups

Comments from students 1  The success stories:  I’ve learnt about what it means to take higher education, and thought about my role as a student  The activities were great, because they made me think  I’ve learnt more about how to find, use and cite sources in academic writing, which is very useful since I’m just about to write two term papers.  I liked the part about library search best, because I knew absolutely nothing about it. Didn’t know it was this easy!
  • 8. Comments from students 2:  Mind the gap:  When I went to high school 3 years ago we just pasted the link to the source we’d used at the back of the document and that’s it. That doesn’t work here, so I’m pleased we get this course. So much are stricter and more different at university. I can’t be the only one who feels like this  More about making the transition from high school to university (or from work to university) as smooth as possible.These are two very different worlds.
  • 9. Comments from students 3:  Improvements needed:  Too long. Too boring. Bring in more videos.  More examples, please. Especially about academic writing. I have no clue about referencing, style, all the details etc.  Some questions were too easy  Fix the technical hiccups
