in the beginning of XX.
• Since that times consultancy was transferred to a wide range of areas.
IT consultancy
Was started because of several factors:
• Experienced developers wanna be paid accordingly
• Information systems grow and become more complex
• Some IT areas require rare skills and knowledge
IT consultant today
A skilled IT specialist from the side hired by a
customer company usually for a short period of
time to:
• Fix the lack of workforce
• Help in development of critical parts of the
customer’s product
• Advise and participate in architecting of the
product
Consultant is a side-guy
Short time contract
IT consultant = an employed freelancer
