4. Frida Kahlo was born in
Mexico in 1907.
Her father was German and
her mother was Mexican.
She lived all her life in “The
Blue House” that nowadays
is a museum
When she was a little girl
she had polio. Her right leg
was small and thin.
When she was 18 years old
she had a bus accident and
she had to be in bed three
months. She was bored and
she painted a lot so she
decided to be an artist.

5. She liked painting
self-portraits and
she also liked
painting about the
Mexican culture
She has been
described as a
surrealist painter
( paintings
connected with
dreams)

7. STEP 1: Decorate the picture in bright colours

STEP 2: Cover the inside of this part of
a box with colourful pieces of paper
STEP 3: Watch the video and make four tissue paper
flowers (at least) and then
glue them on Frida’s hair

9. Use construction paper in the colour you have painted the box
to do three flaps all around the box .
Stick some images of flowers
and birds on the flaps

14. STEP 1: Punch Frida’s hair and glue it on a sheet of white
construction paper
STEP 2: Repeat the action with the flowers doing it 6 times
in different colours
STEP 3: Now it is time for the little flowers.
Do it with six more small flowers
Step 4: Glue the little flowers on
the small ones and the the big
ones on Frida’s hair until you
have something like this
