• He was character portrayal by
Marry Shelly.
• He Was born as an invention.
• He was opposed by the
society.
• He has not knowledge about
the parents.
• He was born as mature being.
• Can he be considered as
human being?
• He got chance to get
knowledge.
Oliver Twist
• He was the portrayed by
Charles Dickens.
• He was born as illegitimate
child.
• His existence was not
accepted.
• He has o parents at all.
• He was born as child.
• He is normal human child.
• He didn,t get the chance to
get knowledge.
Tabula Rasa
• The mind o a child is like blank slate.
• Frankenstein and Oliver both have the blank mind
i.e. they are unaware to the social calculations.
• Both have gotten hatred from the society.
• They have learnt what they have gotten from the
society.
• Oliver ‘s reaction is that he has suppressed
himself and never express his feelings.
Marginalised
• Both were marginalised from the society.
• Both can be considered as out of the race.
• Both are having the existence in the way that
is the out of the law.
• Their very name suggest the ignorance they
have had got.
• Both have hidden desire for love , care &
acceptance.
• Both have had it accidently.
• Both has lost their Parentage.
Divinity
• ‘I wished to show, in little Oliver, the principle
of Good surviving through every adverse
circumstance, and triumphing at
last.’ Dickens’s preface to Oliver Twist.
• ‘Despite the lack of cultivation and learning in
the morals and ethics of Christianity, the
monster in Frankenstein is able to form his
own code of behavior based on example and
the behavior he views from others’
Social Background
• Frankenstein was the child of beginning of
industrial movement.
• He reflects the common people.]
• Oliver was the child of the Victorian era where
industrialization have gad it’s mal effect
spreaded over the society.
• He is stands for the Illagimate children,
suppression, and the condition of poor
people.
