 What I liked about catherines style is that
she was able to portray emotion in a
persons face through the expressions in
the peoples face and their backgrounds.
Her work gives a clear feeling from the
portrait but also has a distinct feel to it,
her art is centralized to focus directly on
the woman and what she is doing because
of the color elimination.
 My artwork was intended to portray the
same style as Catherine's in expressing the
feeling through emotion of the person and
their surroundings as you can see the
color was taken out to take away from any
distraction towards the main focus which
was to display the frustrations of the news
and their obsession with famous celebrity
exploitation

 Mark had a type of art that
was more environment based
in that it gave meaning to an
environment a place and the
lighting of that place to
represent the way that
environment was to be lived
through his own eyes.
 My piece was intended to illustrate
the same use of environment that
mark used by taking a picture of the
sunset on the beach I went on
vacation to this summer break the
picture expresses the strong use of
light mark did in his piece to portray a
feeling through color and with that
felling in place your able to access the
surrounding and receive the calming
peace the beach sets in place for you
as a result the feeling is quite exciting
and at the same time relaxing.

1974
Eleven black-and-white photographs,
mounted on board with two text
panels, 6 x 9 inches each
 Eleanor's work was very well
constructed in creating a historical
time frame from a simple alteration of
the persons actions environment and
emotions. Her work is well defined in
changing the normal perception of
time and combining different
elements in order to create an
alternate history, she does a very
good job of doing so using the
elements of black and white as they
would do to portray past times.
 In my use of Eleanor's style I was able to
compose a historical controversy through
the elimination of color as Eleanor did to
portray a more historical time and as you
can see the headphones are plugged into
the book which shows a variation of times
in history where people would read books
and the invention of audio books overall
giving the picture of a man from the past
attempting to adapt to the present without
the knowledge of the new technology in a
sense creating his own form of the art.
