This document defines and provides examples of different forms of corruption including bribery, conflict of interest, collusion, revolving door, and patronage. Bribery involves the offering, promising, giving, accepting, or soliciting of an advantage as an inducement for an illegal, unethical, or breach of trust action or inaction. Conflict of interest occurs when a person with a duty to an enterprise has a conflicting interest, duty, or commitment. Collusion involves secret or illegal cooperation to cheat or deceive others, such as bid rigging, cartels, or price fixing.
