Type of documentary: The documentary will be mixed because it will
not focus on one part of music and its uses
Style of documentary: The documentary will be informal with a series
theme. We chose this style as our target audience is 16-44 but we
also made sure it has the same serious theme within it.
Narrative: The documentary will be non-linear, closed ending and
single stranded.
3. Channel: Channel 4
We chose to show our documentary on channel 4 because
this was the TV channel that was selected the most by the
audience we asked about our documentary.
Scheduling: Tuesday 8:30-9:00
We chose to schedule our documentary just before the
watershed as the content is suitable for children to watch.
Target Audience: 16-44, male and female
We chose 16-44 as our target audience for the documentary
as this is the target audience for channel 4.
4. Primary Research
Potential interviews:
Toddler & baby group, multicultural musicians , school
teacher, special needs teacher, radio station, arena,
funeral director and wedding planner.
Archive material:
Special need class, first dances and lyrics used in most
popular funeral songs.
Location for interviews:
Arena, baby group class, office, classroom and radio
station.
