The document discusses Paul's mission to persuade others about Christ based on his understanding of his responsibility before God. It describes how Christ's love controls Paul to share the message that through Christ, all people can be made new and live for him rather than themselves. Finally, it explains that God has given believers the task of reconciling people to him by delivering the message that Christ's sacrifice makes people right with God.
Series unchained message – part 1 - mask – sunday 04-03-16LifePointe Church
This is the first message in Pastor Chuck Bernal's series, "UNCHAINED" (Breaking Free From The Pain, The Power And The Prison Of The Past). The message is titled, "MASK - Coming Clean And Getting Real". In this message Pastor Chuck talks about the meaning behind the word "hypocrite" (mask wearer) and why it is important to take off our masks in order to be set free from the past issues that hold us back and weigh us down. By getting real and coming clean, with God's help we can find the path toward healing and wholeness. This message was delivered at LifePointe Church on Sunday, April 3, 2016.
Series unchained message – part 2 - mosaic – sunday 04-10-16LifePointe Church
This is the second message in Pastor Chuck Bernal's series, "UNCHAINED" (Breaking Free From The Pain, The Power And The Prison Of The Past). The message is titled, "MOSAIC - Putting The Broken Pieces Back Together". In this message Pastor Chuck talks about the fact that all of us are broken and how God can use our brokenness to make us better people. Using 7 examples from Scripture, Pastor Chuck shows the specific ways brokenness has an impact on our lives. As He puts the pieces of our lives back together, we become His "masterpiece". This message was delivered at LifePointe Church on Sunday, April 10, 2016.
There is no doubt that we are saved by the grace of God - but is this some mystical force - Paul teaches us in Titus 2:11-15 that God's grace teaches us how not to live, how to live as well as provides us with motivation to live and speak as the Grace of God instructs.
This sermon I gave at my old church. It is about waking up from tradition and putting the Word of God into practice. It brings a spiritual aspect to word/work based churches.
A few weeks ago we contemplated that our understanding of grace would go no deeper than our understanding of our sin and our sin nature. The same is true for judgment. Our secular culture scorns such an event or a “God who would judge.” That doesn’t dismiss that God is just to judge sin. Greg will remind us that the more we face the judgment that was due us, the greater will be our wonder at God’s grace.

Most people learn The Gospel According to You before they
ever pick up a bible and read the Gospels According to Matthew, Mark,
Luke, or John. This message takes a look at the Gospel According to
John Calvin and Hudson Taylor, and what we can learn from the way the
lived their lives.
Identity: We are Ambassadors for ChristStephen Palm
Several weeks ago, we looked at the heart lifting truth that in Christ, we are both justified and reconciled. In 2 Corinthians 5:18-21 Paul focusses on the fruit of that reconciliation. Not only are we reconciled, we are called to be reconcilers. Just as we have been brought near to God, we are commissioned to be Ambassadors for Christ, helping to connect lost people to the Savior who can heal their broken relationships with God.

We will learn what Anime is and see what a Christian should consider before watching anime movies? We will also learn a little bit of Shintoism religion and hentai (the craze of internet pornography today).
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

For this cause
1. 2 Corinthians 5:11-21
• Because we understand our fearful
responsibility to the Lord, we work hard to
persuade others. God knows we are
sincere, and I hope you know this, too. Are
we commending ourselves to you again?
No, we are giving you a reason to be proud
of us, so you can answer those who brag
about having a spectacular ministry rather
than having a sincere heart.
2. 2 Corinthians 5:11-21
• If it seems we are crazy, it is to bring glory
to God. And if we are in our right minds, it
is for your benefit. Either way, Christ’s love
control us. Since we believe that Christ
died for all, we also believe that we have all
died to our old life. He died for everyone so
that those who receive His new life will no
longer live for themselves. Instead, they
will live for Christ, who died and was raised
for them.
3. 2 Corinthians 5:11-21
• So we have stopped evaluating others from a
human point of view. At one time we thought
of Christ merely from a human point of view.
How differently we know Him now! This means
that anyone who belongs to Christ had become
a new person. The old life is gone; a new life
has begun! And all of this is a gift from God,
who brought us back to Himself through Christ.
And God has given us this task of reconciling
people to Him.
4. 2 Corinthians 5:11-21
• For God was in Christ, reconciling the world
to Himself, no longer counting people’s sins
against them. And He gave us this wonderful
message of reconciliation. So we are Christ’s
ambassador; God is making his appeal
through us. We speak for Christ when we
plead, “Come back to God!’ For God made
Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering
of our sin, so that we could be made right
with God through Christ.
5. For This Cause
1. The greatest need.
• 2 Corinthians 5:11-14 Because we
understand our fearful responsibility to the
Lord, we work hard to persuade others ….
Since we believe that Christ died for all, we
also believe that we have all died to our old
life.
• Our sacred mission.
• John 18:37 (b) For this cause I was born,
and for this cause I have come ….
6. For This Cause
2. The greatest offer.
• 2 Corinthians 5:17-18 anyone who belongs to
Christ has become a new person. The old life
is gone; a new life has begun! And all of this
is a gift from God, who brought us back to
Himself through Christ. And God has given us
this task of reconciling people to Him
• Only we can deliver.
• 2 Corinthians 5:19 And He gave us this
wonderful message of reconciliation.
7. For This Cause
3. The greatest privilege.
• 2 Corinthians 5:20 So we are Christ’s
ambassador; God is making his appeal
through us. We speak for Christ when we
plead, “Come back to God!’
• What glorious assurance.
• Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom
of God and His righteousness, and all these
things shall be added unto you.
