(Mt) – Follower Leadership Relationship Paper
Assumption. You and three of your classmates from diverse background and race were
group as a team to research on any topic on Organizational Leadership and Ethics. Your
team research on Inequalities in Teachers Wages and Pensions and during the research you
perform the role of both a leader and a follower at different stage of the project. A Self-
Assessment of Leadership Practice Based on the leadership practices you experienced and
learned during leading and managing your team, as well as being a follower in your team.
Focus on the skills and behaviors of leader and followers you felt helped the team achieve
its objectives, as well as those skills and behaviors that hindered the team. Use the course
readings and materials to support your ideas and observations. Your paper should have a
brief introduction (100 words max), the following three content areas, and a conclusion
(100 words max.). 1. The Follower-Leader Relationship (400 words max). Identify the
followership skills that are essential for effective leaderfollower relationship. Briefly discuss
each skill and explain why it is essential. [Limit your discussion of essential skills to three or
four skills] • As a follower, describe how one or more of these skills that contributed to your
personal success or failure in a follower-leader relationship during your team’s project this
semester. Provide at least one detailed example. In your detailed example, explain how
having – or lacking — the skill was more important to your success – or failure – than other
skills. 2. Leading in Groups (400 words max). What leadership skills are most essential for
effectiveness in group situations? Using your own group experience, briefly describe each
skill and explain why it is essential. [Limit your discussion of essential skills to three or four
skills] As a leader, describe one or more leadership skills that you possessed — or lacked —
that contributed to your personal success –or failure — during leading and managing one of
your team’s project this semester. Provide at least one detailed example. In your detailed
example, explain how having – or lacking — the skill was more important to your success –
or failure – than other skills. 3. Leading in a Culturally Diverse and Global Environment (500
words max) • What leadership skills are most essential for effectiveness in a culturally
diverse and global environment? Describe each skill, and drawing from your group
experience, if possible, explain why. [Limit your discussion of essential skills to three or four
skills]. • What strategies are effective for solving problems in a group or workplace that is
culturally diverse and/or global? Describe each strategy and drawing from your group
experience, if possible, explain why these strategies are effective. Provide a detailed
example to demonstrate how either a skill or a strategy was more important than other
skills and strategies to your team’s success during one of its projects. Assignment Format: •
Provide a cover sheet with your name, date, and class designation. • Your paper should be
maximum five pages in length. The References page should be the last page, and a fifth page
may be added to accommodate it. • Use Times Roman font, 12-point type, double-spaced,
with 1-inch margins. • Follow APA style, and be sure that you correctly format in-text
citations and References. • Write in APA essay style with a short introduction and short
conclusion. • Use subheads to indicate the three separate content areas and conclusion. •
Within the three content areas (excluding introduction and conclusion), include at least five
unique citations to different course readings. (“Course Definitions” may not be included as
one of the readings.). • In-text citations and reference page follow APA style guide. • Your

  • 1. (Mt) – Follower Leadership Relationship Paper Assumption. You and three of your classmates from diverse background and race were group as a team to research on any topic on Organizational Leadership and Ethics. Your team research on Inequalities in Teachers Wages and Pensions and during the research you perform the role of both a leader and a follower at different stage of the project. A Self- Assessment of Leadership Practice Based on the leadership practices you experienced and learned during leading and managing your team, as well as being a follower in your team. Focus on the skills and behaviors of leader and followers you felt helped the team achieve its objectives, as well as those skills and behaviors that hindered the team. Use the course readings and materials to support your ideas and observations. Your paper should have a brief introduction (100 words max), the following three content areas, and a conclusion (100 words max.). 1. The Follower-Leader Relationship (400 words max). Identify the followership skills that are essential for effective leaderfollower relationship. Briefly discuss each skill and explain why it is essential. [Limit your discussion of essential skills to three or four skills] • As a follower, describe how one or more of these skills that contributed to your personal success or failure in a follower-leader relationship during your team’s project this semester. Provide at least one detailed example. In your detailed example, explain how having – or lacking — the skill was more important to your success – or failure – than other skills. 2. Leading in Groups (400 words max). What leadership skills are most essential for effectiveness in group situations? Using your own group experience, briefly describe each skill and explain why it is essential. [Limit your discussion of essential skills to three or four skills] As a leader, describe one or more leadership skills that you possessed — or lacked — that contributed to your personal success –or failure — during leading and managing one of your team’s project this semester. Leading in a Culturally Diverse and Global Environment (500 words max) • What leadership skills are most essential for effectiveness in a culturally diverse and global environment? Describe each skill, and drawing from your group experience, if possible, explain why. [Limit your discussion of essential skills to three or four skills]. • What strategies are effective for solving problems in a group or workplace that is culturally diverse and/or global? Describe each strategy and drawing from your group experience, if possible, explain why these strategies are effective. Provide a detailed example to demonstrate how either a skill or a strategy was more important than other skills and strategies to your team’s success during one of its projects. Assignment Format: •

The References page should be the last page, and a fifth page may be added to accommodate it. • Use Times Roman font, 12-point type, double-spaced, with 1-inch margins. • Follow APA style, and be sure that you correctly format in-text citations and References. • Write in APA essay style with a short introduction and short conclusion. • Use subheads to indicate the three separate content areas and conclusion. • Within the three content areas (excluding introduction and conclusion), include at least five unique citations to different course readings.
