Foley sound effects are everyday sounds added in post-production to enhance audio quality, and can include footsteps, clothing swishes, or squeaky doors. Amer created Foley sounds using vegetables like carrots and celery hit together or broken to mimic punching, rib breaks, and other effects. They filmed the vegetable Foley work using a Canon 5D camera on a tripod and recorded the sounds with a Zoom microphone.

2. WHAT IS IT?
• Foley, named after sound-effect artist Jack
Foley, is the reproduction of everyday sound
effects added to media in post-production to
enhance audio quality.
• These reproduced sounds can be anything
from swishing of clothing to footsteps to
squeaky doors and breaking glass.

3. HOW DID WE CREATE OUR SOUNDS?
• By using a variety of vegetables, such as carrots and celery, we have been able to produce different
sound effects.
• We have used a method of our first hitting the surface of the pepper to create punching sounds
• We have used a method slowly breaking celery sticks and carrots in half in order to create a rib breaking
sound

• To create the scenes, we have
