1. Focus
In this photo, it is clear that depth of field and focus was taken
into consideration. I wanted the photo to focus on the
Baldock’s nature/countryside appeal, and so I shot various
close-ups of plants and leaves within the woodland area of
Baldock. The viewer will first see the the close-up detail of the
leaves, then the footpath that is out of focus in the background
which would appeal to people who enjoy walking as the
pathway looks pleasant on a sunny day.
This is another photo from the shoot that shows evidence of
depth of field. I wanted to capture the beautiful greenery in the
woodland area along with the spots of colours from the
flowers that sprout from the bushes. The pink flower in the
photo is the focal point whilst the background is blurred. The
bright green colours in this photo help contrast against the
pink flower and help create a summery atmosphere.
