Foamotive is a subsidiary of Palziv Group that specializes in thermoforming cross-linked polyethylene foam to produce 3D automotive parts. Foamotive has plants in Israel and Romania. It supplies automotive OEMs like VW and Opel with hood seals, door fillers, and other noise, vibration, and harshness applications. Foamotive also supplies tier 1 automotive suppliers with gaskets and foam parts. The thermoforming process involves fusing together foam blocks and die cut components in molds under heat and pressure. Foamotive maintains quality and environmental certifications and optimizes just-in-time logistics to customer destinations in Europe and North America.

6. Thermoforming process [ FUSION ] Raw material : Cross linked PE foam blocks Sources: Palziv (IL.) or Tropal ( Ro.) Fabrication : the product is fabricated from several flat components with specific density and thickness that are fused together by heating and cooling under pressure. Process steps : Split the PE blocks to accurate thickness Die cut each component to a required form Separate the components from scrap material Load the components in specific molds Thermal process according to designated cycle Trim the product and inspect quality Secondary operation: apply adhesive if required Packing and marking .
