Teachers and students, while participating in online classes, are expected to:
∙ turn on their cameras throughout the entirety of the synchronous online classes
∙ have the microphone muted unless they are contributing to the conversation
(students);
∙ be on time for online classes;
∙ communicate regularly via emails, chat groups, or mobile phones. Communication
shall be limited to course content and discussion. Students may ask or advise the
teacher, if they find the work challenging and requires the teacher’s full support;
∙ dress appropriately for learning (to setup an atmosphere of classroom setting - 1st
Year and Transferees: smart casual, continuing students: school uniform);

4. ∙ ensure chat is respectful for all participants;
∙ complete all online and offline learning tasks;
∙ do single task. Focus during online lessons. No chatting, gaming, nor
logging-in to social media is allowed during sessions;
∙ be patient with others to help improve the quality of interaction;
∙ have laptop or computer fully-charged and ready; and
∙ engage fully in class without any background distraction.

6. Health and Safety Protocols
All concerns and queries shall be done online. However, in cases when there is a
need to enter the University, and transact business with the College of Commerce,
the following protocols shall be observed:
1.Initially, rules at the entrance of the University must be strictly followed; these may
include handwashing and going through the infrared non-contact thermometer test.
2.The right wing stairways shall be used as entrance in going up to the COC
Office/Building and the left wing shall be used for the exit.
3.Everyone shall follow the one-way movement along the aisles, and use the
stairways one step apart.

7. 4.Practice of social distancing shall be observed properly.
5.Transactions at the office shall be done through the window except in cases when
consultations with the staff, academic supervisors, or dean is needed, but
appointments must be made first.
6.Personnel/students/visitors should log in, wear mask, and sanitize themselves
upon entry in the COC Office.
7.Only three visitors are allowed at a time inside the COC Office.

13. Mode of Delivery
1. Fully online classes will be conducted, especially for students with strong
connectivity, and supplemented with ready-made (soft copy or hard copy)
learning modules for students with internet but weak connectivity; modular
distance learning will be offered to students with no internet connectivity in
their area. Modules shall be uploaded online, delivered via mail courier, or
distributed by teachers with the use of a USB flash drive provided by the
University on scheduled time to comply with the social distancing
requirement.
1. The semester will be divided into 2 cycles, namely, the first cycle and the
second cycle.

14. 3. Courses intended for the first semester, which can be taught without needing
a face-to-face interaction, will be offered during the first cycle while courses
that really need face-to-face interaction, if possible, will be taught during the
second cycle. Courses requiring laboratories or On the Job Training (OJT)
shall be offered the next semester under the assumption that vaccine against
COVID is available and the ban on mass gathering is lifted. If no favorable
developments prevail, the College shall consider possible alternatives.
3. A three-unit course will be offered 3 hours a day, twice a week. The schedule
of classes shall be Monday and Thursday (MTh), Tuesday and Friday (TF), and
Wednesday and Saturday (WS).

15. 5. A student enrolled in an online course is required to attend virtual class for a
minimum of forty-five (45) to fifty (50) minutes for every 3-hour time allotment
per course. This means that the student has to attend virtual classes for a
minimum of one (1) hour and forty (40) minutes per week for every course.
5. Academic Supervisors shall be included in every team under her/his
supervision for monitoring purposes.

Assessments shall be done at regular intervals by the teacher in order to test the
students’ understanding of the course.
Rubrics shall be provided to accurately communicate expectations for student
performance for less technical courses.
There will be two summative assessment tests for each course. However,
performance-based assessments (PBA) will also be given to students at the end
of each module. PBA is the practical applications of skills and the incorporation
of a greater focus on the understanding and combining of content and skills.
There will be at least 1 PBA per module.

1. The College shall keep lines of communication open to cater to queries and
