The Alumni Sailing Cup is the yearly sailing weekend organised by the Vlerick MBA alumni. It consists of a relaxing all-inclusive weekend sailing or hanging out on the water, good food, lots of drinks and enjoyable networking. Those that want to race, can compete against some of the other boats whilst others prefer to have a more chilling experience on the water (or stuck at a sandbank). Sleepovers are on the boats. Please let the organization know asap if you would be interested in forming a team. There are also some vacancies on the boat of the Vlerick MBA Alumni board which can be filled up with people not having a complete crew or who are unable to attend the whole weekend. The Alumni Sailing Cup is also open to non-Vlerick alumni.

MBA alumni.
It consists of a relaxing all-inclusive weekend sailing or hanging out on the
water, good food, lots of drinks and enjoyable high-level networking. Those
that want to race, can compete against some of the other boats whilst others
prefer to have a more chilling experience on the water (or stuck on a sandbank).
On Friday and Saturday evening there are social activities ashore. Sleepovers
are on the boats.

There are no specific requirements for crew members. around in the Bavaria range: there will be Bavaria 31 feet up to Bavaria 40 feet.
It is perfectly possible to participate without any
experience at all. You can find more info on the boats on the site of the manufacturer:

Skippers do not need to have a license (yachtman or
other). However, it is important that they are confi-
dent that they will be able to assure the safety of the
boat and the crew members. If you don't feel confi- “6-8 person teams”
dent, there is always the possibility to rent a skipper
via the organization.
The boats come in a 2 cabin or 3 cabin version. Hence, there are 6 or 8 places
on board (2 cabin means 2x2 persons in the cabins and 2 additional persons
on the bench in the berth -living space- of the boat).
Since as a general rule we only accept subscriptions per boat, it makes most
sense financially to compose your team out of 6 or 8 persons. Composing a
team is rather easy since 3 persons + their partner already form a complete
crew.
In case you cannot form your own team, or you prefer coming alone, we can
offer you our ‘networking formula’. In this case we will put you together with
other interesting people on a boat for a nice day or two days of networking.

2. Pricing Included in the subscription fee
Subscriptions can be made by individual persons or by complete teams of ●Yacht rental from Friday evening till Sunday afternoon or evening

Early bird subscription (payment before June 30th): ●Maximum insurance (excl. franchise)
€1.650 for a complete two cabin yacht (6 persons)
€2.200 for a complete three cabin yacht (8 persons)
Not included in the subscription fee
€335 for an individual 2 day participation
●The rent of a skipper if you don't have one (€ 130 / day)
€185 for an individual 1 day participation
●The rent of professional sailing clothing if you desire so
●Extra personal expenses
Late subscription (payment as of July 1st):
●Invoicing fee of €25/invoice if you request an invoice
