The mission of UPLIFT Wisconsin is to help unemployed or under employed men and women of
the armed forces, including their families, by providing career training and job placement
services.
Goal
Helping individuals overcome obstacles and achieve self-sustainability.

Scott Woeckener (Chairman)
 President & CEO
 Scott R. Woeckener, Chief Executive Officer, continues to provide his vast 33 years of
corporate training, general management, critical problem solving and entrepreneurial
experience that has successfully turned around multiple failing New Automobile
Franchise / Dealer Groups since 1982. He has been recognized and awarded “best in
class” President’s Award in retail sales, customer service, employee training and
development by General Motors, Chrysler Corporation and the Ford Motor Corporation.
 Since 1995, he has successfully founded North Star Automotive Group, Inc. This ability
has led to developing long term employee retention and the systems to support leading
organizations around the globe with career, mentoring, and talent development initiatives.
Karen Van Nieuwenhuize (Vice-Chairman)
 Vice-President
 Over 30 years as an educator K-12 in both the public and private sector, analyze and
track student performance, accountability in academics; incorporate a student success
plan in mathematics, curriculum development
 Management of the largest SES provider in WI with experience in accountability,
training, monitoring and assessing employees and students; curriculum development
and specialist; evaluate student performance, collect and analyze student data; written
school performance summary reports; record keeping and completed company invoice
reports

Who We Are
UPLIFT is unlike any other career or educational institution. We are an employer first,
unemployed veteran driven career and job placement center.
UPLIFT utilizes a one-on-one “hands on training” that supports learning strategies and focuses
on specific career growth areas. The accountability related to assessments adds increased
discipline to specific concepts towards job readiness roles as new employees.

We train dedicated, goal orientated participants. We are not a college, a school or a training
institution. UPLIFT is a career center with site specific modules, instructors and placement
goals. UPLIFT is performance driven and results orientated based on successful completion of
career module and job placement.

Veterans
Our Employer first veteran job training services pre-screens applicants based on MOS (Military
occupation of Service) and matches them with employer’ immediate needs. Each program
trains and provide gainful employment opportunities to over 128 returning men and women of
the armed forces.
UPLIFT Wisconsin recognizes that returning military personnel have a specific (MOS) Military
Occupation of Service skill sets but find it extremely difficult to transition back to civilian life.
Their overall success requires a variety of real world life skills assessments, critical thinking
evaluations, resume transition process and direct employer critiquing of hiring expectations and
continuous mentoring support.
UPLIFT’s job readiness activities are designed to assess, address and successfully complete short
and long-term employment goals. However, team roll playing is key to clear insight of what it
takes to become an immediate asset and productive employee.
General Public
Several hundreds of men and women have a limited education, few skills, and lack a strong
work ethic necessary to hold a job. All too often these individuals come from families who have
been on welfare for years, and rarely did their parents or peers stress the importance of
responsibility and self-sufficiency.

Going the Distance-Feasibility
The Feasibility Study has been 3 years in the making and is perhaps the most crucial tool that
our organization considered when preparing our targeted strategic business plan.
The findings provide a “roadmap” that can only lead to success. Furthermore, there is
tremendous benefits in supporting our cause of supporting and promoting local small
businesses through training those that are living in communities which are in poverty, are
unemployed, are veterans returning from the Armed Forces protecting our nation, and are
those less fortunate or physically challenged that if given a chance could make a difference.
Uplift Multi Media Technologies employer first-build program that involved fast turnaround of
concepts and modules”. Given the rapid pace of change in technology and the fierceness of
competition among tech schools, this strategy is a necessity. Flexibility should be a priority as
well, so that a new system does not become outdated as technology develops. Providing spaces
for teams to function interactively is key. Trainees will be connected to each other, to the
instructor, and to data resources around the world.

Uplift Multi Media Technologies can help small business create marketing programs, outreach
efforts and materials that effectively communicate who they are, what they do and how their

Recognizing the wide variety of options for digital media, as well as the significant expense
