- #3 Hi, my name is Sarah Morgenstern and I am one of the founders of SavvyMom Media. I’m a mom myself of three who were all born within 3.5 years – they are now 5.5, 4 in a couple of weeks and 2 this weekend. I’d like to introduce you to the other founder of the company, Minnow Hamilton. She’s a mom of two boys, age 8 and 6. Welcome to our session on finding practical solutions for moms – Fitting 36 Hours into 24 One exciting thing I’d like to announce is that we have several copies of an excellent practical solution for moms that we’re going to tell you a little more about in our presentation called The Body Journal/The Baby Nanny to give away at the end of the seminar so please stick around for that

SavvyMom Media is the publisher of a popular online magazine for moms called SavvyMom Today, which is free to subscribe to by the way, if anyone is interested Our mandate is to: Inform – tell you about all the latest and greatest, tips etc. Connect – bring together a community of moms Entertain – allow us to all laugh about the fun and experiences of being a mom We are all about finding solutions for moms to moms’ many to-dos – our team of what we call Savvy Scouts test the products and ideas that we write about – we do the research for you so you don’t have to Because we are an online publication and focused on new products and services, we tend to find out early about all these new innovations that are coming out that can really help moms so we’re here today to tell you a little about some of our favourites and we hope we’ll be able to share some new things with you that will be helpful in your daily lives

- #7 What: Anyone ever wait in line at the post office? Of course we all know Canada Post but what you may not know about is some of the amazing features they offer online. Our favourite features: Postal code lookup - perennial favourite birthday alert – never forget a birthday, enter your special birthday and choose how often you want to be reminded by email Ship in a click – choose shipping service, print label and drop in post box – skip that post office lineup for all the baby gifts you are sending to your friends Where: on the web Cost: free for the information services, regular charges for the purchased services What: : anyone with pictures still on their digital camera, never to be shared with anyone else, never to be printed out? Not backed up so you would lose them all of anything happened. Just haven’t been able to get to Blacks in store hours? Kodak EasyShare Gallery does it all Our favourite features: They mail them to you. Also the ability to share albums with any of your friends. Special photo products such as mugs and framed pictures that are perfect for gift-giving - e.g. to grandmas Where: online Cost: Starts at 15 cents a print

- #11 What: health record system, allows you to share with health professionals as needed, on web so accessible from anywhere, good in case of emergency Our favourite features: For fun, the weight and height tracking features – you can graph the results etc. Set goals, also can use for diet monitoring etc. For more serious medical conditions, excellent single source tool for records and monitoring Also provides access to online resources with medical information Where: online purchase but not download, also in PharmaPlus store and Rexall Drugs Cost: $60

Gets them sleeping longer faster. Import photo of baby that you are tracking.

The testimonials on their site are full of amazing stories of how people are using it to keep connected with each other – when you have a new baby it’s a perfect time to want to share daily with what is going on Where: online Cost: It’s free Our favourite features: It’s free! 100 million people in the world have it. Tip – get the headset they reco (about $35) as the PC sounds quality isn’t great otherwise
