The document discusses tweaking interview processes to attract top talent. It suggests companies focus less on weeding out candidates and more on presenting themselves positively. The director Suzanne Rice recommends companies provide direct responses about roles and be honest about issues, demonstrate an enjoyable work environment, maintain consistency, and promote opportunities for advancement. The goal is to leave candidates with a positive impression as their feedback can influence potential future hires.

How To Get The Most Out Of Recruitment Agencies, Oussama MansourThe HR Observer
There certainly seems to have been a growing sense of informal negativity towards recruitment consultants in the region. A recruitment agency should help speed up the recruitment process and take a significant workload of your plate. The better consultants should be well connected and be able to provide you access to strong candidates that would be otherwise impossible to gain access to. Due to the significant sums of money involved in the recruitment business, this have caused a drastic shift in how some recruitment companies in the middle east approach their clients. Some have abandoned the mature, well informed true consultative approach and instead replaced it with a high volume, sales orientated approach. Others have become CV passers and nothing more. Finding and getting the best out of a recruitment agency, however, requires planning, preparation and determination.

IntroductionWe all know that the four factors of producti.docxvrickens
Introduction
We all know that the four factors of production are land, labor, capital and entrepreneurship. By skillfully combining all of the above factors, we have been able to create goods and services which in turn have created economic value.
Through this presentation we would like to provide some impetus on the second factor of production i.e.Labor.
The basic definition of labor can be stated as the human effort of one or more individual which is required to create goods and services. It is the responsible of the entrepreneur to bring together the labor resources so as to be able to create value. (Unknown)
-Contd
Labor as a factor of production can mean different things in different circumstances. For example a doctor treating patients in his clinic can be considered an entrepreneur as well as labor. On the other hand, a receptionist hired by the same doctor would be considered labor.
The doctor hires some support staff to be able to perform his or her tasks more efficiently while being able to maximize returns after paying the salaries for the staff. This can only happen if the staff is qualified and can work according to the expectations of the employer.
In this context, it becomes necessary to properly assess the hiring process for any organization so that they can maximize returns while controlling costs.
Hiring Best Practices
Here are some of the best practices that we believe, all employers should employ
Identify Need – The first step towards hiring somebody is for an individual in charge of hiring to identify a need. This may seem easier than it sounds but in many cases we have seen that organizations being overstaffed, carrying high salary costs and having highly unproductive resources.
Define Job description – Once a need has been identified, the employer must spend time to define what tasks are expected to be done by the prospective employee. Failure to do this causes friction between the employer and employee and may hamper performance of the employee.
Best Practices - contd
Plan the Hiring – Once the description and requirement have been established, it is necessary to outline how the process is expected to be completed right from the time of posting the job on various platforms to the point of onboarding the employee. It is helpful to identify the internal resources which are responsible for driving the process to completion and make sure they know the expectations.
Market Availability – Once all the internal planning is in place, the firm must actively market the open position. It is often experienced that openings go unfulfilled due to the lack of awareness among the job seekers. The firm should aggressively market the position on various job portals, newspaper classifieds, social media as well as their own website. The more awareness created, the more applicants and higher chances of fulfilling the position.

Get Your Underperforming Employee
to Quit – Try "Counseling Out"
What is Counseling Out?
Counseling Out is the process of providing enough regular, candid
and honest feedback that an employee quits before being fired.
Most managers wait too long to fire underperforming employees.
It's better for the employee, manager, and company if the
employee quits. If Counseling Out is done correctly, your problem
employee will find a job and quit before you have to take action.
Document Everything
Any time an employee may need to be fired, you need to
document all communication. Regardless of how hard you try to
help your employee or be nice, there is still the risk of a wrongful
termination lawsuit. To protect yourself from wrongful termination
lawsuits, you should implement some basic Human Resources'
best practices. If you are unfamiliar with these practices, consult
an attorney to learn how you can protect yourself.
4 Steps to Counseling Out
1. Establish a Counseling Out Timeline
This first step to Counseling Out an employee is to
establish your timeline. If he/she does not quit by your
deadline, fire the underperforming employee.
2. Start with Honest Feedback
It is usually easy to give positive feedback and bonuses,
but difficult to cut someone's pay or give a bad review..
Prepare a list of the problems with examples to help
communicate the message..
Weekly Reviews
Schedule weekly meetings with your employee through
the end of your Counseling Out Timeline.
3. Time's Up – Time to Fire the Underperforming
Employee
Hopefully the employee finds a job before the end of
your timeline; but if he/she has not, you need to deliver
the news that the underperformer is fired. By this point,
the employee should be on his/her way toward finding a
new job and may already have interviews or a job offer.

Employee

your timeline; but if he/she has not, you need to deliver
the news that the underperformer is fired. By this point,
