2. FINRA Gives Back to Local Communities
Steve Kanzer leverages more than two decades of biotechnology and pharmaceutical financing,
development, and licensing in his role as chairman and CEO of Accredited Ventures, Inc., in New
York City. Throughout his career, Steve Kanzer has maintained memberships in several
organizations, including the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).

In early June 2018, the FINRA Investor Education Foundation announced two new funding
initiatives aimed at helping bolster financial literacy and capability in communities throughout the
United States. First, the organization announced that it is again partnering with the American
Library Association. This partnership with will see the FINRA Foundation spend $2 million to help
train library personnel and provide funding for libraries that have been affected by natural
disasters, all as part of the organization’s platform of providing financial education exhibits in these
facilities.
