Local 6
- The Musicians Union Local 6 is a labor union for
professional musicians. Our goal is to improve the
economic status, social position and general
welfare of our members. Membership is open to all
musicians and vocalists who work part-time or
full-time in pop, rock, country, jazz, classical, folk
or other areas of music making.

International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees
Local 16
I.A.T.S.E. Local 16 provides stage craft and technical support to a wide variety of
entertainment and event industries ranging from Motion Pictures, Commercial
Production, Theatrical Events, Industrial Trade Shows, Live Concert Events, and
many other venues from San Mateo to Napa and Sonoma Counties.
They provide skilled, trained technicians in a multitude of disciplines including
Lighting, Carpentry, Audio Engineering, Props, Makeup, Camera Operators, Video
Engineering, Audio Visual Technicians, etc.
Local 16 Benefits
This union started in 1893 to represent workers in the entertainment industry. To
date, there are more than 375 IATSE local unions. The unions support all forms of
work, including live sound, motion picture, television broadcasting, and television
production.
They supply work for various events such trade shows, exhibitions, and concerts.
The Funds are governed by Boards of Trustees made up of an equal number of
representatives of the IATSE (labor) and the employers (management). The
IATSE National Benefit Funds include the Pension, Annuity, Health & Welfare,
Vacation and 401(k) Funds.

Local 510
We represent Bay Area Trade Show and Convention Installers and Exhibit Builders, as well as Outdoor
and Commercial Sign Painters and Pictorial workers and our local has existed since March of the year
1900. Our jurisdiction covers Northern California, and we are affiliated with District Council 36 of the
International Union of Painters and Allied Trades.
Local 510's membership numbers approximately 800 workers. Our local provides labor for more than sixty
contractors in the Greater Bay Area. We have a California State affiliated Apprenticeship program.

A Member may be anyone active in audio engineering or acoustics who has an academic
degree or the equivalent in scientific or professional experience in audio engineering and its
allied arts and is familiar with the application of engineering principles and data in that field.

● Familiarity with working with youth in a community setting
● An understanding of the Oakland community and social justice advocacy
● Ability to manage cash transactions and reconciliation of accounting tracking
● Attention to detail, accuracy and organization. Ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize to meet
deadlines.
● Demonstrated commitment to data quality and accuracy
● Familiarity with nonprofit organizations
● Written and verbal communications skills
● Basic computer skills and eagerness to learn new things
● Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Google Apps and QuickBooks Online a plus
● Energetic, flexible, collaborative, adaptable – ability to work on a team
● Self-starter, motivated, and able to take initiative; ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment and can
learn new skills to meet the organization’s needs
● Ability to lift 25 pounds
● All prospective staff must pass a background check

● Compensation: $30-40/hr
● 8 hour shifts that start at noon to 8
