Ionmill Capacity
Improvement
• Analyzed process time data to target
improvement opportunities.
• Found bimodal distribution in transfer
times, tools were aligning twice.
• Worked with equipment engineering to
quantify 10% process time improvement
once adjustments were made to the tool.

Ebeam Capacity
Improvement
• Worked with manufacturing engineering on
project to enable lot splitting capability at
Ebeam.
• Currently in the final stages of project,
installing additional WIP nests at load
stations.
• Lot splitting at Ebeam will allow for the
transition from 19 to 22 wafer lots.

PVD Radiance Downtime
Improvement
• Developed time studies to identify
improvements on PM’s
• Worked along industrial engineering to find
that common, incoming defects on
shielding is leading to increased downtime
since it takes technicians longer to perform
PM.
• Team has been assembled to address
these issues, which will decrease this
downtime.

Material Handling System
• Enables lot runners and operators to scan
lots in and out of each fab
• Creates lot visibility
• Central lot rack location (FAB4X) which
enables a two route system. (In Progress)
• Runner Dashboard notifies runners of
higher priority lots to pick up and their
location. (In Progress)
• Eliminates operators leaving the fab to
locate lots, reducing idle time across tool
sets.
