assigned the required tasks that have been required to be performed.
• This team has been differentiated in terms of performing different kinds of tasks.
THE VISION OF THE
ORGANIZATION
• Our efforts have been directed at maintaining and enhancing our reputation as builders of
superior residential projects, upper-end houses, and commercial and industrial projects.
• In the field of construction, the organization’s vision has been defined while briefing the project,
in that case, the final requirement of the organization has been described (Mohelníková et al.
2020)
• Apart from that, it can also be said that the project has been accomplished in terms of increasing
the rate of literacy in Toronto, Canada.
• Stakeholder assistance from the teachers, families, students, and administration will be required,
in terms of having further growth.
THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION
• In case of executing the construction plan, XYZ school has appointed the team so that the

terms of boosting the education goals
• Apart from that, it can also be said that this project has been done in terms of providing
moral values to the children so that they become better human beings
STRATEGY
Resistible to flood and typhoon construction
• In case of doing that, a site with a good
landscape along with a good topography
has been required to be selected
• It has been observed that trees have been
one of the reasons that can decrease the
wind force along with the floods as well.

Resistible to earthquake
• Different adjacent buildings have been required to be developed with a minimum distance of
3 meters in terms of minimizing the chances of multiple collapses.
• This kind of method is generally known as the domino effect
• Along with that the doors and the windows have been required to be strengthened as well.
ORGANIZATION
• It has already been mentioned that this project is going to be developed in terms of
providing educational facilities to the students of Toronto
• Apart from that, a good interior design has also been done during the construction.
• As there are several other facilities that have been provided in the school building, such
as an exceptional escalator has been provided for the specially-abled children.
DEFINE THE PROJECT
• The design of the school building must be protected from natural
hazards.
• The factors like sustainability, energy efficiency along with green
environment must be considered during the project planning.
• Determining the project size and objectives, an architect should
be employed for the site visit and design aspects for aesthetical
views of the project.
• Conduction of the various assessment regarding the financial
needs.
• To develop the designs by architects along with the project cost
estimates.

PROJECT ESTIMATES
 Site conduction
The site condition often increases the overall costs of the project such as poor soil,
contamination of materials, underground water, improper drainage, river crossing
 Material costs
The material cost and their continuous supplies and additional shipping charges are needed to
evaluate prior to commencing the estimation method
 Labor rates
The labor rates that are generally specified by the certain local government could be taken as the
standard for the calculation of project labor costs
 Project size
 Location of the construction site
PROJECT NETWORK
• The duration of excavation and its expected time.
• The excavation process along with the compaction of soil estimated time.
• Plain cement concrete work after the excavation and compaction work and its expected
duration.
• The footing process that proceeds after the cutting and steel bindings are essential in the
reinforcement of steels with their mentioned expected time.
• The footing work after the plain cement concrete work along with its expected time.
• The concreting work was carried out for the columns, footing, plinth beam, and slabs along
with their steel works and its expected completion time.
MANAGING RISKS
• Initially, it has been ensured that the roof materials
have been fastened into the purlins.
• In the next stage, it has been required to be
ensured that the developed roof can avoid leaking.
• Every ceiling of the building has been required to
be supported with the help of the fixed beams of
the building.

SCHEDULED RESOURCES AND COSTS
• The scheduled cost process generally estimates the required cost for every work element and it is
essential in the project management to determine the overall budget of a school construction project
• The scope statement, work breakdown structure, and dictionary has been prepared before the work
starts
• Estimating the different cost categories that are going to be used at the execution
• The schedule must include the given following points such as all project activities, their pre-planned
project starting date, and finishing date

REDUCING THE DURATION
Task splitting
• The main aim of this method is to split the various tasks into smaller tasks that each of them
could be just started after the completion of previously done work. For this work breakdown
structure is used to reach the lowest task
• The task that is considered for the splitting should lie on the critical path or else it could
reduce the whole project duration.
CONTD…
Crashing
• This technique is different from task splitting as it involves the addition of extra
resources to the task in order to enhance the rate of completion of the task within the
given duration
• The extra resources that are allocated here would be considered as the rate
determination type resources
• The simplest technique in crashing is to increase the worker to double and reduce the
duration by half
OUTSOURCING
• The reason behind the outsourcing is mainly to decrease the overall cost of the
project.
• The outsourcing could be obtained through better ways of project
management, faster delivery, and several industry-based expertise.
• It has been ensured to continuously communicate with the different managers,
engineers, architects, and contractors
CONTD…
• The team is usually led by the project managers and they should be sound in technical knowledge and
with good communication skills.
• The project managers must communicate with the clients, and contractors, be capable of handling the
various resources and equipment, accurate way of work allocation, maintain the quality control
aspects, and finally deliver the outcomes.

MONITORING PROGRESS
• The observation of the various activities of project construction and hence establish the
level of work completion.
• The assessment of the inadequacy of the provided material and its workmanship.
• The determination of the various confirmation regarding the construction schedule
• The verification for the quality control and its measures such as the agencies, the engineers,
material requirements, design specifications, etc.
• Access the requirements for the labor working on site, and hence addressing the various
potential delays in work.
CONTD…
• The verification of the various contractor's payment-
based applications so that payment of all the workers
and material purchasing is done.
• The monitoring activities are the best way to improve
communication among the various stakeholders.
• It is often recommended that the project managers
must consider the project plan and then implement all
the monitoring activities that would be taken from the
inspection process to the project completion.

  10. Every school building has its unique design, purpose, occupancy capacity, and economic basis. The common and unique features of the different schools are distinguishing them mainly from the other buildings. A number of design principles have been followed in the design and construction of school buildings.
  11. The estimated cost of the construction of schools consists of a variety of activities costs. The estimator must properly evaluate the effects before finalizing the project estimate. The following must be considered during the estimation of the school building construction project. The remote shipping of materials usually increases the several charges for execution. Hence the location of the site could have a significant impact on the overall cost of school building construction.
  12. The project network consists of the several activities that have been carried out for the complete execution of construction along with their individual activity durations. Other essential works to be carried out such as the concreting, plumbing, plastering work, the building of the shear wall, electricity work, and finishing works with their exact mentioned expected completion time. Then determining the critical path from those activities would decide the minimum time path required for completion. Then determining the critical path from those activities would decide the minimum time path required for completion.
  13. 13. Manage risks  In order to minimize the risks of the buildings, it has been required that several measures have been required to be taken. Initially, it has been ensured that the roof materials have been fastened into the purlins. In the next stage, it has been required to be ensured that the developed roof can avoid leaking. Apart from that, every wooden part has been built properly so that it can resist the attack of insects. Every ceiling of the building has been required to be supported with the help of the fixed beams of the building. Apart from that, it has also been ensured that the walls are not in danger of falling. These are the safety measures that have been required to be taken while developing the construction project of the school building.
  14. The start date for each activity, the finish date for each activity, the various category of resource allocations, the structured calendar-based schedule, the corresponding duration of each activity, their dependence relationships between the activities, identification of the critical paths, and the various floats like free and total.
  15. The project mainly consists of various tasks and has a defined duration that has to be completed with the help of labor, materials, and various equipment. There are ways by which a reduction of project duration could be obtained.  The task splitting and the crashing technique are usually used for reducing the duration.
  16. Crashing This technique is different from task splitting as it involves the addition of extra resources to the task in order to enhance the rate of completion of the task within the given duration. The extra resources that are allocated here would be considered as the rate determination type resources.
