2. As the time is ticking and we are near the project deadline my group
member and I have decided to have a meeting to decide which music
video idea we are going to run with. After lengthy discussions, we decided
to go with the music video idea 5. This seemed the strongest idea with the
most potential because of the mock documentary style of filming, narrative
structure, and the idea itself reflects current notion of media manufactured
celebrity which our artist is strongly opposing.
As the artist is not keen in appearing in the music video, both of us as well
as the rest of our media class believe that this idea has most potential to
attract desired audience and at the same time we could create promotional
material to promote the album with the concept that the real identity of the
artist is unknown.
We hope that the artist hidden identity would serve to add an air of mystery
and allow desired audience to focus on his talent instead of dwelling upon
the superficial.
Due to production budget limitations and the production complexity in
regards to large cast we have decided that I need to develop further our
final music video idea. The main focus in this stage of development will be
to keep similar storyline but with no need for large cast and crew.

3. Music Video Idea 5
• This music video idea is inspired by TV music talent competition contested
by aspiring singers and musicians.
• The video will be filmed in a fake/mock documentary style and it will depict
the search for new trap/hip hop artist that will represent NEO.
• The video will capture judging panel reactions, the atmosphere during the
casting, artist performance as well behind the scene footage.
• The video can be split into three main sections. The first one would be
casting selection, the middle and most important section would be selected
contestants performing segments from the song and the final segment
would be the announcement of the winner.

4. Music Video Storyline Options
Option 1
After long day at the music talent audition,
the last group (5) of contestants looking
tired and exhausted are waiting in front of
the studio to be called in to showcase their
talent.
Prior to entering the production manager as
countless time before, gives them
instructions on how to behave and when to
start performing. As they enter the studio
they are greeted by tired and grumpy
judging panel. Once they line up the judges
are flipping trough contestants biographic
and are glancing at them.
While putting the papers down the judges
glance at each other and the main judge
with the hand gives signal for music to start.
As the music plays each contestant
performs their segment and at the same
time we see judging panel reaction. By the
end of the song and last performance the
judging panel makes critisasing and
condemning reaction.
Option 2
The video starts with the judging panel looking
at displayed music talent show contestants
biographies in order to make a final selection.
As they argue they finally pick 3 biographies
that are not visible.
The story continues as we see three
contestants standing in front of the same
judges again. As the main judge signals for
music to start the final three contestants
anxiously start performing one by one. During
the performance we see judges reactions and
their discussion. Towards the end of the song
all three contestants are in the same positions
as from the start of the song.
At the end of the video we see happy winner
of the talent show surrounded and
congratulated by the judge.

5. Music Video Storyline Options
Option 3
The video starts with the split screen showing
three young males as they go about their
everyday life. As the phone rings each
character answers the phone and after a
moment of listening in disbelief they make
exuberant and overwhelming reactions.
The story continues as we see three
contestants standing in front of the same
judges again. As the main judge signals for
music to start the final three contestants
anxiously start performing one by one.
During the performance we see judges
reactions and their discussion. Towards the
end of the song all three contestants are in
the same positions as from the start of the
song.
At the end of the video the song chorus starts
again and we see the finalist performing the
song all dressed up and with impressive
background.
Option 4
The video starts with the record label manager
talking over the phone and trying to persuade the
newly signed artist to record a video for a song
that is due to be released. The artist voice is auto
tuned in order to protect his identity. As the artist
rejects proposal the manager is left in disbelief
while shaking his head.
The video continues with an audition sign looking
for artist double. Three contestants are standing
in front of the audition panel. As the main judge
signals for music to start the three contestants
anxiously start performing one by one. During
the performance we see judges reactions and
their discussion. Towards the end of the song all
three contestants are in the same positions as
from the start of the song.
The video continues with song chorus starting
again and we see the finalist performing the song
with impressive background.
At the end of the video the record label manager
is in his office again talking on the phone. The
original artist auto tuned voice is heard saying:
“That was blip, blip, blip…”
