2. Introduction
• During this significant period of our A2 media
coursework we had been given the support to work
with professionals that were advanced in the media
industry.
3. First session
• The first Film’s Cool session
was with Kate Hardie with a
career of being an actress,
director and writer. This first
ever session was generally
about being imaginative with
what story lines we could
come up with. We had all
been told to explore each
others contributions and
develop one another's plot,
and hope to develop this. This
session had been a
foundation to our production
period.
4. Second session
• The second session of Film’s Cool
was with Jesse O’Mahoney with
a careers of being a professional
screenwriter. As Jesses has
written scripts for soaps such as
Eastenders and Hollyoaks, he
had the advance skills of helping
us structure our scripts in the right
direction. An important
feedback we gained from him
was that we needed to
distinguish the value of each
characters life, who may matter
to them and why they matter.
5. Third session
• The third Film’s Cool session was
with Christine Blundell and her
make-up academy. Where we
were taught how to use
products to make our deaths
seem real for our killings. These
products we used were
everyday products kept in our
households, such as; food
colouring, syrup, eyeshadow
and pritt stick. This session had
been an experience for me as I
couldn't imagine having giving
this opportunity elsewhere.
6. Fourth session
• The fourth session of Film’s Cool
was with Ross Currans with the
career of being the director of
Masterchef. The general
feedback we gained from Ross
Currans was to develop our
scenes and make them
stronger for the benefits of our
audience to understand it. Ross
advised us to take close ups in
the party scene to make out as
if we had crowd of people in
our surroundings.
7. Fifth session
• The fifth session of Film’s
Cool was with Matt
Kavanagh who is currently
studying graphics at
university. He showed us
how to animate our
production logo with after
effects. He explained that if
we included these effects it
will portray a sense of
professionalism.
8. Final session
• For the final session of Film’s
Cool Christine Blundell
came back to look at our
trailers, alongside with Alec
and Matt. This session was
for finishing touches we
needed to clear up on. By
the end of the session
Christine Blundell expressed
how she felt proud of the
make up we conducted
on our characters.
