• It begins with credits over the top of a slow motion black and
white video of couples dancing in the background which gives
emphasis of a classic look
• Portrays Key theme of dance being a big part of the movie
• The Audio is very slow and relaxing. This sets the mood fitting
well with the visual
• Credits finish cut to scene
• Family driving to a holiday destination, key shots reveal body
language
• The main characters voice is over the top of the video, setting
the scene- gives insight to what will develop.

• A peaceful theme tune sets the atmosphere,

• The storyline continues from this clip, the start is
effective as it gives a history of a childhood and
suits the children's attitudes to life, in the terms

• Opens with an establishing shot.
• The Characters are revealed to the audience, in a romantic
setting e.g. Beach. This sets the atmosphere for the film

• Credits appear over the top of the clip, in white small font.
• The soundtrack builds up the tension of the story line, leaving
the audience with questions in their minds.
• Two shots are created throughout the film opening, this tells a
love story of this particular couple – showing their emotions

• Set in an army campsite, the mise en scene; dirty trucks,
camouflage outfits fits the purpose of the genre of this film.
• War/violence/death
• Sound effects e.g car truck, adds emphasis building up the
suspension
• Also, a ticking clock in the background – represents a bomb
which represents how much of a risk the soldiers face each
day. Their bravery shines through this.
• Credits cut in-between clips, in white font on a black
background- highlights in Red to stress the points, red is the
icon of blood/death.
