The Woman in Black is a 2012 British supernatural horror film directed by James Watkins, based on the novel of the same name. Arthur Kipps visits Eel Marsh House and is distracted by strange noises and sees a spectral figure. He later witnesses the death of a young girl named Victoria. Though ruled a suicide, the locals blame Arthur for Victoria's death, believing he saw the mysterious "Woman in Black". The film uses unsettling music and low-key lighting to create tension and establish a dark, ominous atmosphere.
