- 1. Film noir audienceresearch<br />As film noir has progressed through the years, the audiences have stayed similar to their original origins. Many people who are fans of art watch film noir. This is because of the artistic cinematography and stylishness of the acting.<br /> <br />People who wish to make their own films also tend to watch film noir for similar reasons; the artistic features of film noir are interesting for filmmakers to study. <br />Film noir is the basis for nowadays films. They contain elements of blockbusters, which are about today for example sin city and se7en. It is a good way of budding directors to take film making back to basics taking out the special effects and CGI of modern films for example spider man and Avatar. The people who want to create a new film also study film noir for the cinematography; all of the different camera angles allow the new directors to study the original art of filmmaking.<br />Another factor we need to consider when researching the audience of these films is the audience research. Four our film (due to the violence usually portrayed in film noir) we will probably be looking at a certificate 15 or 18. While you cannot choose what certificate you get it is important to aim for a certain area, in our case we will be aiming for a certificate 15, this is so the teen audience is not excluded from the film.<br />In conclusion the film noir audience varies from the young to the old, all enjoying the ‘back to basic’ cinematography and crispness of the films. New and old directors also watch the films to gain inspiration much like all the students that watch the screen pictures.<br />
