• Pre- Sales
• Pre-sales involves the producers selling the right to distribute the
film before it is made-this is the most common method.
• In order to secure their investment, distributor will expect certain
elements that are likely to guarantee success
• These may include ‘Marquee’ names or some kind of change to a
film to make it more commercially tenable.

production. It handles budgeting, scheduling,

6. Post Production
• Post- prodcuction is where everything is pieced
together by the editor. The editors job is to
enhance the work, cut out mistakes and put the
whole film together.

film needs to be advertised so that people will go
and watch the movie
7. Distribution
• The last stage, distribution. This stage is how
film makers get their films in cinema.
• What a film maker has to do is to got to a film
distributor to publish their films. The
distributors analyse the films to check if the
public would enjoy the film and if its worth the
money.
