These conglomerates market and promote their films across their various businesses in a practice known as synergy. Independent producers also exist, using smaller outfits like the BBC or Film 4. New technologies have enabled anyone to make and distribute films more easily through platforms like YouTube, while audiences can now watch films through various devices at home or on the go.

of money within the field of media which they put into film
production companies, they also market their film through
their other companies, this is known as synergy.

is known a media ownership. With their media companies they

Magazines
Newspapers
Books
Internet Platforms

4. Independents
Some producers do not work in a massive multinational
media company, instead they use smaller outfits.
The British do this a lot, for example, the BBC or Film 4.
