2. Everyone enjoy watching movies and shows, who do not. I admit that
I am the kind of person who can sit in front of the television up to 10
hours and enjoy watching movies. I am the kind of person who love to
watch any type of movies such as romantic, funny, action or horror. I
always have the curiosity when I watch horror movies, and always scared
of the sounds effect when the scary ghost shown up, whether all is made
up or whether it is reality, the scary screen always scared me, but I am
still enjoy watching them. This is why I chose to compare and contrast the
differences between two horror movies are Scream and Urban Legends
In this two movies, Scream and Urban Legends have many
similarities, and also have characteristics that make them unique. The
similar introductions in Scream and Urban Legends both of the movies, a
young girl is murdered within the first few minute at the first screen. It
brings up the audience mood because the screen has just started few
minutes, and the audience gets the taste of the excitement and yet scary to
come and then the pace shows to establish the main characters and theme
of each story.
Although a girl is killed right away in each movie their relationships to
the main theme differ. In Urban Legends, Michelle was the first girl who
got murdered, she is directly related to the killer. Michelle was the first
killed by the killer by swinging an axe at the back or her neck when the
killer hide at the back sits of her car. And it is also because of the killer
wanted take revenge on her, so she was the first one got killed in the
movie. However in Scream, the first girl killed, Casey did not have
anything that related to the motive of the killers and nothing to do with
the killer. If pays a closer attention it in, it stated that the killer had dated
Casey at first, but unfortunately that she dumped the killer for Steven,
who was murdered at the same time Casey was. The assumption that this
was an act of revenge and was used to get attention. Both movies have the
similar settings that both take place on a campus, Scream on a high school
campus and Urban Legends take place on a college.

3. Moreover, the large parts of the movies were also take place at the
parties that held at home of each of the main characters in both movies. In
the beginning of each movie we are notified there is an anniversary. In
Urban Legends it is the 25 anniversary of the Stanley Hall massacre. On
the night, a murdered knocked on every door on one of the floor and
killed everyone who answered the question and after that, the killer
decided to commit suicide. In Scream, in Sidney’s one year anniversary,
Sidney, the main characters, the death of Sidney’s Mother. Her mother
got raped and murdered. Sidney testified to send a man to prison but it
was later proved he was innocent. The characters in each movie are also
alike. In both films there is a group of five or six who dead because
revenge of killer who are not satisfied with encounter.
Lastly, two character in Urban Legend, Paul and Natalie. They are
driving away after escape the incident at campus, they try to find help and
safety around the area. Out of sudden, Brenda have hide at the back seat
of their car and try to attack them with the same manner that how she
killed Michelle in the first few minute in the opening scene. They find a
way to escape by smashes the car in to the guardrail and let the killer flew
of and causes the dead of the killer. Two character in Scream, Billy and
Stu, who inflict flesh wounds on one another with a knife, but
unfortunately they are interrupted by Gail Weathers, who returns, armed
with Dewey's gun. And finally Sidney have the chance to strikes back at
her tormenters, killing Stu by throwing the television right at the top of
his head, and by shooting right in the head of Billy by the gun. Last but
not least, both of the movies have the similar ending with both of the killer
who got killed by the main character by using different objects and way to
protect themselves and killed the killer and escape from the death.
In Conclusion, despite the differences that this two movie has shown
me, and I have learned from both movies how life of death will be. Life
will always surprise you with unexpected surprised. You will never know
what will happens and when you will be death. We are afraid of death,

4. who does not, we always learned not to take any action toward a small
situation or problem, but at the end it comes the revenge, and it causes
more dead of life because of little small things that we human could not
take it. Life is always precious, love life.
